Default I quit smoking...when can I sleep again?

Started smoking about 5 months ago, just quit about two weeks ago.

I don't crave cigs anymore, but it takes me forever to fall asleep.

I'm home from uni for a month. Since I've been home I stopped smoking cigs, stopped smoking weed, and don't have long days of studying and work any more. I figure my lack of being able to sleep could be any of those.

At school I fall asleep in about 2min, now it takes 3hrs or more

I tired OTC stuff like melatonin, but it doesn't always work.
Take last night for example. I took 2 pills at midnight. Went to bed at 12:30 and took another pill. Couldn't sleep at all. Took another pill at 3am. Still could not sleep. I laid in bed from 12:30am to 6:30am before I got up and took shower. Its now 7am and here I am on totse. No desire to sleep whatsoever.

I'm thinking about trying to get a prescription for some benzos. I don't know anything about benzos or ambien or anything like that, I'm more into psychedelics.
My plan was just to go and tell the guy that I can't sleep, anything specific I should say or avoid?

More importantly, I'm still on my parents insurance. My father gets it through his work and I'm still considered a dependent despite not living at home. Anyways, if I get a prescription for something will he be able to find out? My parents are very anti smoking and anti drug. I'd rather experiment with more OTC stuff and get a poor night sleep then have them find out I have a prescription for anything.

EDIT: My whole life I've had trouble sleeping. I remember being 8 and staying up till midnight every night reading comic books because I couldn't sleep. Perhaps I have a legitimate sleeping disorder. Now that I think about, me being able to sleep properly is a fairly recent thing and its only when I'm at school (probably because of the drugs, alcohol, and work).

You need to burn some more energy during the day and you should be out like a light especially if you use melatonin or diphen.

It's probably the lack of weed that's fucking you up, btw. It happens to me if I smoke too many days in a row and I run out. I've been a life long insomniac, so I know how it goes.
