Adderall vs. Concerta to study
If somebody wants to be able to study for a long time and concentrate well to retain the info, which is more effective(they DO NOT want to get high)? Also which is less addictive? How long can they be taken before you would feel withdrawl by stopping? Thanks

Adderall. And addictive? Are you kidding?
Concetta is a methyl, so stay the fuck away, comedown sucks.
*facepalm*
There is no withdrawal from amps.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Three hydrogens and a carbon. That's all a "methyl" is. Both are stimulants so both comedowns will suck. Adderall is just a superior drug.

Don't be a jack ass. Just because there's no physical withdrawals, doesn't mean its not addictive. Adderall can be addictive, its just not on the same scale as hard drugs.
To OP: You won't get any physical withdrawals, but if you take it long enough to mentally depend on them, you'll still feel like shit not taking them for a little while. Easily tolerable though, and should go away in a few days. Especially when you remind yourself its a mental thing.
I'd say addiction isn't that big of a problem if you're honestly taking them to help study and what not instead of trying to get high.
Adderall would be much better because it generally has less side effects than methylphenidate(active ingredient in concerta), and is much cleaner feeling, making concentration and studying easier than on concerta.

Re: Adderall vs. Concerta to study
Both are good. But I personally like concerta more, much less of a comedown and I don't really feel any different except more focused. Adderal is in fact more dangerous and both can cause dependence

Re: Adderall vs. Concerta to study
Guys, really?
Will you please just spend a few hours researching organic chemistry (specifically drug actions, receptors etc.), psychology, and common sense.
I hardly know shit about chemistry, but some of the shit that's been said is preposterous. A methly group doesn't make something more addictive. And Adderall is not fucking different than "hard drugs". It's mixed amphetamine salts, amphetamine is usually recognized as a "hard one".
Stop talking, you'll kill a kid.

Re: Adderall vs. Concerta to study
There's a huge difference between illicit amphetamine paste or powder that you're smoking, shooting, or snorting to get tweaked out of your mind, compared to one or two 10 or 20mg tablets taken orally to study. And it doesn't even compare to the big 3 usually referred to by hard drugs(Meth, smack, and crack). Amphetamines might be considered as such, but not when you're thinking in terms of adderall. Its a world of difference.
Kill the kid? Way to be melodramatic.

Re: Adderall vs. Concerta to study
Right, illicit forms of amp are exponentially more dangerous, but not in terms of addiction. That's all I was talking about.
And no this misinformation wouldn't kill a kid, but misinformation when dealing with psychoactives is very dangerous, there is no way around that.

Re: Adderall vs. Concerta to study
Ok, yeah, they're both amphetamine so they can both be addicting. I get your point.
I still think you're overplaying how serious it would be with adderall. Method of administration really does make that big of a difference. If you choose to disagree, that's fine.
I'm not saying there's no potential for addiction to it at all, but if hes being honest with us, he's probably got no reason to worry.

Re: Adderall vs. Concerta to study
Concerta comedowns truly do suck, a lot worse than adderall in my opinion.

Methylphenidate..
Yes I know what concerta is. I was responding to your retarded suggestion that the methyl group has anything to do with the comedown.

Re: Adderall vs. Concerta to study
Addy are way better
If you just want to work really hard for a few hours then crush up the balls and snort it. If you want to pull an all nighter studying then just take the pill normally and use the extended release balls to your advantage.
