Caffeine abuse
I don't know whether to post this in oral indulgences or here. Either way, I was wondering if there were any Totseans who share my love of abusing caffeine as much as I do. I enjoy my 2 cups of mindfuck coffee every morning (double-brewed with about 12 cups of sugar and a few teaspoons of ginseng), as well as 4-5 caffeine pills (with 200 mg caffeine in each pill). I may indulge in a few energy chocolates as well (about 50 mg caffeine in each) when I get home. All in all, this puts my average daily consumption of caffeine at about 1600 mg of caffeine a day--there are about 130-180 mg of caffeine in a regular cup of coffee. This is the equivalent of drinking 11 1/2 cups. In one day. I have a little bit of trouble sleeping, I've been keeping this up for about two months now, and whenever I abuse caffeine to this extent, I get an incredible high that lasts many hours. My vision blurs, things start to breathe, I lose depth perception and balance, but the best thing is, I can't sit still and I always feel giddy, happy, and energetic--sometimes to the point of almost being uncomfortable. I interrupt people when they talk and I can't hold my attention span for more than a few minutes on anything now but I don't really care. In fact, I need to go pop a few pills right now.
Does anyone else do anything like this?

Re: Caffeine abuse
Reminds me of summer vacations spent burning steel at New England's largest scrap metal port. Drink more fluids (WATER), get more sleep, stop drinking as much caffeine. That can easily be cut down to some in the morning and maybe late morning/realy afternoon, since your TOLERANCE will also go down.
You have very little to actually be worried about.

Re: Caffeine abuse
I went through a phase of caffeine abuse back when I was a chef.
I'd chug can's of red bull and double espressos like there was no tomorrow. I know what you mean about how it feels. I'd do about 300 covers a day on a friday or saturday and would just be hammering it the whole time. Felt really good.
The only downsides really was the comedowns, the frequent toilet trips and lack of sleep.
It's fun like but don't over do it mate.

Re: Caffeine abuse
Amphetamines anyone?
But all joking aside, one of my friends stole a bottle of caffeine pills when we were younger cause he just wanted to, and we did a ton of 'em. We found out though, that we would constantly dose, then re-dose, and re-dose. Once I did that all night, I woke up the next morning feeling like I had the WORST fucking hangover. Horrible stomach-ache, terrible headache, and just sick as fuck. So after that, I realized, taking like 1 or 2 if you're really tired, but going past that is just not worth it at all. Once you experience good stimulants, you realize that caffeine's just a shitty drug.

Go to your local gas station and ask where the caffeine pills are.

Re: Caffeine abuse

qft
Once I hit about 400-500mg of caffine my stomach begins to hurt.
This is my normal pre-test stim routine (lets say I have a 10am test):
9pm - 15mg amps
11pm - 15mg amps
(study all night, no sleep)
8am - 200mg caffine (quick boost for the test)
9am - 100 mg caffine
9:30 - 100mg caffine
I love when you're sitting down taking a test and you have to rewrite about 25% of what you write down because you're shaking shomuch you can't write propperly and its so messy. So you just sit there thinnking to yourself "man, I'm so fucked up on stims right now."

You consider that being 'horribly addicted'?
300mg of Wellbutrin is an average medicinal dose, so it 30-40mg of Adderall. Your caffeine intake is higher then a normal persons, but if you consider that addiction then you are only fooling yourself.

Re: Caffeine abuse
Caffeine isn't recreational or even really useful at higher doses in my opinion. I drink coffee when I have to get up early or stay up late, usually only one or two cups. It works very well for it's purpose but there's nothing fun about it, and taking a lot of it just makes you feel like shit. It can't compare to even a low dose of amphetamines in terms of increasing focus and alertness.

I'm drinking a Monster right now. I know I abuse caffiene but I don't really care. Your abuse seems a bit harsh though, I haven't had to resort to popping no-doz.

haha I love the progression of caffeine on to amphetamines then on to meth.
No wonder kids always end up on hard drugs these days.

I think most of us abuse caffeine and amps in order to increase metal and physical productivity, not to get high.
Doing electromagnetic physics on meth? I'd rather not.

I beg to differ mate. I mean who's 'us'?
Are you telling me that the majority of amphetamine based drugs use is for "increasing mental and physical productivity"?
Take some more then...you might see sense you peanut.

You're probably right.
What I meant was that most people who abuse caffine arn't doing it to get high, they're doing it to stay awake, study, ect. Those people move on to amps because it does an even better job then caffeine does.
Though to be technical, think about how many people are prescribed Ritalin and Adderall compared to the number of people who do coke and meth. Also, the people with adderall prescription are doing it every day, most meth users don't do it daily (not everyone is a crack whore).
So yea, I would argue that most amp drug use is not to get high.
EDIT: A lot of people take amps at parties so they don't pass out from the drinking and other drugs. But technically they are still using it to stay awake, not to get high.

Re: Caffeine abuse
That's a fair point actually, I never really looked it at that way. I'll take calling you a peanut back then :D
So i guess despite it's notoriety as a recreational drug amphetamine is actually often used with less than recreational motives.
Good shit pal.

There is a reason its still legal, at least for now. Who knows what the drug nazis are up to these days.

Yea but you need a prescription. Same with the UK, right?
That said, its also a joke to get a prescription. You basically can go find a doctor, fill out a yes/no form and then get prescribed addys.

Re: Caffeine abuse
Yeh i think we can get it prescribed over here...well i would assume so since know a few people who claim to have a reason for legitimate use of amps.
I think amphetamines are class B over here. That's like 5 years for posession. I suspect there'd be a more rigorous prescription process over here in the UK for getting hold of some on the face of that.

Re: Caffeine abuse
When I was about 15 I used to be on a big coffee kick where I would drink about two pots to myself over the course of four hours or so everyday. My stomach didn't appreciate that, though; lots of fun with those coffee-shits. You know, when you think you gotta shit, so you go to shit, and all you can manage is this little fuckin' squiggle thing? About once an hour? Yeah, that.

Re: Caffeine abuse
they.
"you" can be used as plural
I was speaking to the general population of the forum, most of whom are American. In which case me addressing them as you is not grammatically incorrect at all.

The UK is a straight up police state. I would hate to live there (I'm a British citizen by the way, living in the states).

This is how it starts. Next thing you know, you'll be banging that shit straight into your veins, fiending for just one drop of coffee. Rehab never cures those caffeine addicts. They're the worst of the bunch.

Sounds more like "cardiovascularfuck coffee". I used to do that too, and I'd make that strong of a coffee for other people just for kicks XD
I do like caffeine and coffee as much as you do but, sadly, one cup causes a noticable breakout on my face. I think meth would be less harmful for my face. As for behavior... I acted psychotic XD
