In November we're voting to decriminalize marijuana in the great commonwealth of Massachusetts.

But more importantly, we're voting to phase out state income tax over the next 2 years. Hopefully if this passes instead of sending property tax sky high the state will learn to stop spending money on stupid shit like the big dig. Or paying cops overtime to sit on the side of the road.

In Massachusetts for every bit of road work that gets done, there has to be a cop (getting paid overtime) supervising the construction and managing traffic. This basically means sitting in his cruiser and falling asleep. Shit like this needs to go.

If they take out your state income tax then it will be replaced by something else before long. They are going to need that money. Nevada (where I live) doesn't have state income tax, but that is because we get boat loads of tax money from the casinos. Trust me, they aren't going to learn how to stop spending so much money. You are gonna get a new tax soon if they take out that one. It might not affect you if Massachusetts has some taxable industry, but otherwise you are gonna still get your money taken by taxes in another way.

IN MY OPINION:

It'll never work as long as RomneyCare is operating. Especially considering that NO plan to replace the income has been officially proposed yet.

I guess conservatism is just one massive lulz-fest, then.
