Default How do I get a Restraining Order done properly?
Hello,

I need to make sure I have grounds to get a restraining order against a girl. She is bat-shit insane, keeps stalking over facebook and in real life. She said "if I dont do anything with her she is going to fuck with my house."

And no, keep the "sex" bullshit out of this thread. Shes fat and ugly. I wouldn't do her if I needed to save the human race.

I have pictures of facebook stuff, conversations on MSN that I can give to the police. I need to know how to do it *RIGHT* so I can get a peace bond or a restraining order to keep this mental case away from me.
Has anyone been through what its like to deal with one? Can I set up a case with the police that will keep them away? How long will this take?

EDIT: How do I get proof to stand up in a legal case? Do I carry a camera around with me or something? (That records video)?

I like the Sandwich idea best. If that fails you need to make a letter to warn her. After that a formal complaint to law enforcement. After that just get a court date. Keep all documentation/copies etc.

However, I'm not sure it applies to your case, as fucking with your house inflicts no person physical harm on you. Dunno if your situation falls within the scope of a restraining order, so you'd probably want real legal counsel to verify it.
