hey guys, simple idea ive been sitting on, grab a 12g shotgun shell, roll a piece of thick metal around it to make the barrel, grab a toy metal revolver and use the trigger and handle system to weld onto the barrel so you can fire (this is for us poor sods who cant buy guns due to not being in america)

i mean theres a lot more detail to put in but the basic idea is that, you could simply just pop the shotgun shell into the barrel and use a pole to hit the centre. the shotgun sits in the barrel on any gun due to the rim being wider then the actual cartridge so its being held in there by its arse end.

to further this idea how about we think about how to make a pump action or a semi auto gun (at least half of all bullets sit in the barrel by the rim at the end like the shell but a rifle you have to keep opening up to replace a single shot would be pretty useless)

lets brainstorm, my original idea was to use carbon fibre to make the barrel cause im to cheap to buy a welder and the ghetto coal fire roasting the carbon fibre seemed like a brilliant idea to me

there are "commercially made" old shotguns that used damascus metal.
The breech area could not handle modern gunpowder.

Anyway, I'd explore why that design , made by professional gunsmiths in the past, is considered dangerous.
And then consider if your design is actually better.

zip-guns shooting 22s is a bit different than using the same technology to contain a shotgun blast.
