i am trying to make the turntable more interesting as it looks bland... i have been messing around with filters and this is the best i could come up with

I'm not going to lie, I know this is rubbish, but it's more like a rough draft. All you really need to do is add some tonal range on the record (some texture, light spots and dark spots, you know) and it will look just fantastic.

I showed a friend of mine Silverfuck's photoshop effort and he had an attempt. this is what he came up with:

Well, there's several steps to makin an image more interesting. First, you have to take the image and go alone into a room, preferable a room with mood lighting an an overstock of KY jelly. then you need to make sure, and i repeat, make sure there's no one around. then coat the image in KY jelly and put it as far up your ass as you possibly can, put it up your asshole until you can feel the gastric juices beginning to digest that shit. then post it on the internet!
