What can you really do?
My ex. We broke up in November, started talking again in March. We broke up because he couldn't handle a girlfriend at the time, I am not so convinced he can now either, but am willing to give it a chance.
We are basically perfect for each other, in every way. But the problem is, we live about 18 miles apart, and neither of us are eligible to get a car at the moment. He isn't happy only seeing me about 3 times a week, for maybe 3-6 hours.
I am trying as hard as I can to make it work, I do everything in my power to make him happy and to see him as often as I can. I want this to work more than anything.
What can we do? He wants to eventually have a relationship, "if things keep going the way they are." I am scared that we will have to end it because we don't see each other as often as we'd like. I'm scared because I don't want to lose this guy because of something I have no power over.
I guess I am asking advice on what to do with the relationship. I'm not sure what I can do to assure him that even though there's a little distance we can get through it until we get a car or find an easier way.

Too much if you ask me.
Any chick saying ''were perfect for each other'' gives off heavy creepy vibes in my book.
Just get a boyfreind around where you live , there not hard to find.

We complete each other, we both agree. I fill the voids he has and he fills mine, though he creates a void or two also, we go hand in hand together.
I don't want to be with anyone else, he's the only one I want to commit to and actually be with. Sure there are other guys whom I would mess around with, but commitment is what we both want for each other.

He ain't happy with it. I am content with the amount I see him and talk to him...but he's not havin' it. And I can either ask him to deal with what we can do, because there's nothing else we can do about it. Or he can leave me and wander, but we've already decided that there's no one else who is right for us in the time being.

What you said doesnt add up. You both complete each other , so since 3 days isnt enough he rather bitch and cry and not see you at all ?
That wouldnt be true if both of you complete each other , you need to double check if his feelings truly match yours.

Our feelings match up, our effort doesn't. There is nothing more that I can do, I don't know what else he could do, but it's not much. He doesn't bitch and cry, but the options are pretty limited, two of them being him deal or leave. I don't know what else I can do.

Hate to say it but he sounds a bit of a whimp. Walk 18 miles every evening of the week to get me some cunny, to be in the arms of a fantastic girl who only wants to make me happy and commit to me?
In a heartbeat. At his age anyway.
Or he could just buy a fucking bicycle, hell he could probably get one free off a mate.

No, I think she just needs to realize how young both of them are.
Honey, boys at this age are just thinking about adventure. They want to do things, and not just sexually. You doesn't want to be tied down, he doesn't want to make the effort. He is content with making you do all the effort (it seems like). You can't love someone who doesn't put in their 50%.

Re: What can you really do?
It just fucking sucks, I am falling in love with a guy who won't put any effort into me when I am trying my hardest for him. It really fucking sucks. Whom also does not believe in falling in love at such a young age.
Whoever said that our feelings did not match may be right, I don't know. It's so hard to leave because I feel that we could be a lot more than what we are now.

That is not too hard to believe. He wants a relationship but can't put any effort into it? He's got a million good excuses, million reasons why he loves me, and a million reasons why I should love him.
I don't know. I really don't.

Well, see, I've already viewed him as fucking me over many a time. There have been periods of our "friendship/relationship" where I wanted nothing to do with him, except sex. But I only develop bad feelings about him over periods where we don't see each other.
For example, we didn't talk/see each other for 2 weeks. During that two weeks I got myself over him fast, very fast. And by the time we began talking again, I told him how I felt, and how I wasn't going to get my feelings involved because it only fucks me over.
The next day, I saw him, and couldn't help but picking up where we left off and all of the feelings that I had for him came back.

From there where do I go? Do I embrace his whimpiness or kindly ask him to fuck off? I would say that there's too much potential to just leave, too many feelings involved at this point.

18 miles is about 35km. The average walking speed is about 5km/h (let's say he's eager and walks the whole distance at 7km/h). That means it would take him 5 - 7 hours to walk to her place. Since he's going to be doing that every evening of the week, he would have to get back to his place in the same day. That means he's going to be spending 10 - 14 hours a day just doing the walks. Add 8 hours for sleep, one hour for food, and let's say 2 hours for actually spending with her, and it sums up to 21 - 25 hours a day.
That means if he walks at an average speed, he will have to cut his sleep to 7 hours, and stop any activities beside hanging out with his girl. If he walks quickly, he will have just 3 hours a day to actually do stuff.

Well, you figure. It's an 18 minute drive. I do not think it's exactly 18 miles, if not a lot less. I can't gauge the distance, but I could use mapquest.
Mapquest says about 9 miles, 18 minute drive.

Pff, 9 miles is nothing. I used to go to school 9 miles away every day, it's what, a 20 minute ride on a public transport?

True, we've tried that before. He ends up missing the bus. I guess what I will suggest is, I ride my bike to his house and get a ride home once my parents/his mom are available. And then whenever he wants to see me next, he'll ride to my house with the same bike. And back and forth.
As long as I can shower at his house after I ride. 8 miles, at 10 mph = 48 minutes? Yep.
But, if none of that works out, and we still don't see each other enough to satisfy him, then what?

Then tell him to stop bloody whining. If he wants to see you more often, then he should do something about it (especially since there are a dozen ways to go about it, the simplest being getting to the bus stop 5 minutes earlier) or stop bitching about it.
If he's not satisfied, 2 ways: solve the problem; man up and endure the problem. Whining or giving up is not an option, dammit.

Stripped, this is really not a good idea. It just seems like you will pour more effort and love into this relationship and this guy, and you won't get much back.
There are guys out there doing crazy shit to see a woman they love, flying to other countries, cycling 100s of kms...and this guy can't even be fucked to get up early enough to catch a bus?
If you're not worth that to him I don't think it will be very fufilling.

nothing. get a job. if you have a job get another job. get a car. once you have a car then you wont have this problem again. its a good investment. cars are getting pretty cheap these days. check out craigslist.
if you lose him for this reason then he doesnt care about you enough to wait. be realistic. hypothertically with this knowledge will you still feel the same for him? if you have faith in him then dont worry about it and start worrying about transportation.

I see my girlfriend less than 3 times a week, and we live nearby and she drives (I'm a lazy bugger, but not for long.) It's simply because of our work schedule. You guys are young so I cen see why he thinks 3 x 3-6 hours per week is not enough, but if you'll excuse me, he's an emo piece of shit and should cut his fucking wrists.
Sorry that just slipped out. I'm pretty hungry.
Anyway, fuck him. Hard.

i broke my bike and glady rode my moms 20some miles in the middle of the night to see some high school girlfriend i was nuts about. its something dumb kids do while they tell everyone else they are soul mates. guess what? we didnt end up together and this chick wont either. find something easier to manage until youve got the independence to make dating outside of the neighborhood work.

if you guys are so fucking perfect for eachother, 18 miles is not SHIT even if you are both losers and dont drive. you know what, fuck you both. you think that is hard? i live 1700 miles from my woman and i still got 34 months left of things being this way. we were discussing how we used to gripe about living 50 miles apart before i was in the Army. 50 miles was a BLESSING! yall are obviously NOT perfect for eachother, so stop fucking bitching.
