Default The SP on Mrs Ketch.

I've had a few emails now from board members enquiring how she is. So for those interested or who remember the other threads:

She was released from the Institution into my care/custody at the end of September. The Section 3 order (ie 'committal order') was rescinded. She's still on meds (Zyprexa and mitrazipine) but they've reduced the dosage.

Everyday and in everyway she gets better and better. There isn't much in the way of maladys that long walks, good food, soft lovin' and good conversation won't cure(ie not treating her like she's four cans short of a 6 pack).

But that has of course taken a lot of my time, which is why i haven't been around as much of late.

She has not only returned to 'normal' but is becoming the woman she was 15 years ago.

Infact she's recovered so well that she's flying home on her own to Hessia (Hesse) soon to indulge in even more fried dead piggy, veal, cream and even longer walks through dark brooding Teutonic pine forests (its a German thang..). Have some time with her family and get her head straight.

So thanks again to all who've wished her well and remembered her in their prayers. I truly appreciate it.

(Zyprexa and mitrazipine).

That's odd, I'm prescribed both of those. What was she institutionalised for?

As much as i dislike you, i couldnt help but pray for you, her, and the rest of the family. I couldn't imagine how tough of a situation that would be for everyone involved.

Keep us updated.

HOUSE PARTY AT JACKKETCHS PLACE!!

Easy enough to find my place. Turn off the B1113473 at Upper Nosebleed, turn right at the Ducking Pond and Witch Burning Stake then follow the dirt track for a mile or so to the bridge then bribe the troll with half a spud.

Then ask the first pitchfork bearing local vocal yokel you meet where the Herr Doktor lives.... und ve shall have such a partys, oh ja.

That's awesome that your wife is so much recovered and also that you're paying so much attention to her. She probably needs more care and love than your average wife, but as long as you're willing to give it to her she'll be all right. Was it 15 years ago that her...Problems first began?

Nah her problems started way before that. Strangely enough just around the time she met me....

Coincidence?

That was indeed the general impression but then one single electroshock treatment and she woke up and was pretty much normal.

Did a whole thread about it all over on headshrinkers cos I'm really not keen on ECT. But in my wife's case the results were miraculous.

I'm glad to hear she's doing better. Make sure you have her bring back some lebchucken (i'm sure i spelled that wrong), since this is the only time of year you can get it.

A close family member with mental illness is unbelievably trying on those affected; I know from personal experience. I applaud you for your ability to care for your wife with so much dedication and love, and I wish your family all the luck in the world.

Lebkuchen. She won't be going far enough south to get the really good stuff (real ones are only made in Nuremberg which is in Swabia).

But we get them over here now in the UK, in every supermarket and the quality is okish.

She will however be hauling back a LARGE suitcase containing all the things we can't get here like Knoedel, spaetzl etc etc

I have already been instructed to meet her at the airport, upon her return, with a large car or small truck.

i'm kidding, of course.

I am truly happy for you, jack. It's wonderful that things have turned out so positively. I hope they only continue to improve for you. We miss you. :)

Uhm it was late last night when I wrote that. Nuremburg is of course in Franconia and not Swabia!

Great to hear she is doing ok. It might be just another voice in the group of Totseans that are happy to hear she is doing fine, but I'm glad she is and wish you all strength!!

(If I'd be in Germany I'd send you stuff, but if you' like sth Polish I might be able to handle that ;-) )
