Default Is it weird to keep something to remind you of a person? Without them knowing?

For example, a girl I got really close to just left my house. I found a hair on my bed. It's hers.

Is it creepy to keep the hair in some kind of plastic to remind me of her, as long as I tell noone other than myself?

I'm thinking yes, but I am a very sentimental person. I like looking at something that reminds me of someone I like and feeling happy because of it.

Your thoughts?

Dude believe me I'd like a bracelet a million times over a hair, but I don't have one :(.

I do this for other girls too, but this isn't a stalker thing, I just like them and want something to remind me of them.

Yea its creepy, what was that movie? I think it was van wilders where theres the guy that has the "hair doll" he made from hair of the girl he was madly "in love" with that he would find around. Yea keeping a peice of hair is a bit much. I mean pictures, braclets, old notes you shared, stuff like that not creepy. Hair, ect ect creepy.

Dude im pretty sure your just a troll but ima go ahead and post anyways because im damn bored. So yea all you need to do is throw it away burning it is a bit excessive. Yea go find some pictures or anything damn. If you can't find a picture draw one and write her name on it as if it was a REAL picture. But thats still creepy but better then a hair.

I'm not a troll, although I get the feeling I should say I'm one and let this thread die.

And that picture thing is totally more creepy than a hair.

To the op: you don't need to quote every person youwish to reply to... And yes, that is extrodenarily creepy. (Though it would be funny as hell if she saw this thread) But, judging from your other thread, you sound like a slightly creepy person anyway.

The hair's a little creepy, but I've done some of the same things. Like taken really random things (flash lights, hats, boxers) from my exs house and kept them. He never found out, or atleast never cared. As I moved on they hurt me more than anything else, so I burned them along with everything else he'd given me.

If it comforts you, makes you happy, I dont see the problem.
Hair is verging on 'creepy' only because it's close to uncleanliness. I mean, if it's a hair today, you have to be carefull else it will be a toenail clipping tomorrow.

I've got a sketchbook somewhere with a lock of my boyfriends hair in it. I had the excuse of it being 'art' though.

That's just impressively creepy on a variety of levels.

Ask her if it's weird.

DONT WORRY ABOUT IT.
Default Re: Is it weird to keep something to remind you of a person? Without them knowing?

IDK about a hair that seems a lil deep but hey anything i could keep to let me look back and remember a random time i had with that said girl, its cool with me. Usually i can just pick up something of mine that i dont usually keep around and remember something very vividly.

Quick example i got a abercrombie polo i havent worn but once(its super small and i cant fit in it comfortably after gaining some muscle) and i wore it the 1st and only time i met this girl for the 1st time. Makes me laugh thinking i thought itd be a good idea to wear such a thing, obviously though it looked good cause she continued talking to me for a while constantly.

I think it's an interesting thing, because when I think about people doing it I get a little weirded out.
I try not to be a hypocrite, though.. a female friend of mine who I have this strange lust/infatuation for left some hairslides of hers in my bedroom. When I think how much I want her, I look at them, and I feel sorta reassured or something.
When I was in her room last, I so wanted to take a little something, something I could hold onto when I had nothing else.. like a scarf or something. Panties would make me feel far too guilty and freaked out.
I think it's regarded as strange, but probably normal to a certain degree.

I have hairs of nearly all my ex shag partners. And yes it IS creepy but then I'm a creepy person. Incidentally I also keep all of my own hair (i.e when I get it cut or when it comes out in the brush) and my own finger nails when they brake or I cut them (not toenails though that's icky)

What's wrong with being a bit creepy? I mean as long as she desn't find out I don't see the harm.

so basically you stole shit from him then burnt it?

Fuck you, honestly.

Anyway, to the OP: is it your GF? then I don't think it's creepy. once I was away from my ex for a bit and she sent me a hair in the mail. that was sorta weird but not creepy.
