'xenu' and scientology
ok correct me if I'm wrong,
but when people talk about the truth behind Scientology being a belief that an evil alien warlord Xenu created humanity and so on, isn't this all based off the word of one guy who made an internet website about how he was walking down the street one day and just happened to stumble across a pamphlet containing all this information that is only supposed to be revealed to the highest level people in Scientology's? Everyone seems to have just taken his word for it. Why would all this information be organized into a convenient little pamphlet that was just tossed aside on the street one day?

Re: 'xenu' and scientology
Because the majority of religion fails at making sense. Scientology just happens to be one of these religions

Re: 'xenu' and scientology
Scientology doesn't fail at making sense, it does this thing that I can't exactly explain wherein it makes so little sense that the only way people, when confronted with it, believe it because they can't even comprehend the logic behind it.
Tom Cruise (i know Tom Cruise is a crazy man, but he's scientology's flagship crazy man) is pretty much the spokesperson for scientology and he's four different kinds of insane. The teachings of scientology say that he can cure people's mental problems, the scientologists, using a hell of a whole lot of money that they no doubt get mainly from excercising mysteriously expensive tests of dubious veracity, have recently completed a center that will, that right will, give anyone who undergoes a full treatment at said center superhuman abilities. (think Daredevil with eyes, not Superman) John travolta's son, who is -by all reasonable estimates- retarded, is denied treatment for down's syndrome by his own parents because they believe it doesn't exist. What's an alien warlord or two to a people who believe this garbage.
Scientology takes things to a level that no other religion dares to(except the latter day saints) all other religions, when they talk about something that happened in the past, can say something at least marginally historically accurate, whereas the scientologists decided to boldly go where no crazy has gone before.

lol so true. I never knew they deny things like down syndrome. Ive seen a video with tom cruise saying he's against phycology, and the scientologist machine is a much better alternative. I dont really agree with phycology either but atleast theres research going into it. Not some fucking metal rod you grab and its supposed to tell you how happy you are.
They all deny the alien stories, but without a crazy creation story it wouldnt be a true religion. The whole secrecy of the fucking thing is nuts, Atleast they havent got tax exempt status. The crazy classic religions dont even deserve that. there fucked too.

the thing about the super power is that you're on the right track with "think daredevil, not superman" I just want to expand on that: from what i've read in dianetics, it's more like that black kid who was blind but he could walk around and tell if there was something around him and what was too [remember ppl posted it on the IFIOTW forum on youtube]. that kind of sensory acuity but with all 5 of your senses. team that with good agility, and there you go: it's does make kind of like daredevil.

Re: 'xenu' and scientology
Can you prove Scientology wrong? Can you prove the flying Spaghetti Monster wrong? Can you prove Christianity wrong?
Nope.
As far as I can tell, Scientology is just as valid as every other religion. They make outrageous claims that are impossible to prove either way.

I'll prove those motherfuckers wrong simple as shit. Get ready for this, it'll knock your socks off. Down's syndrome is a genetic defect that shows, through a simple karyotyping, that I could do if I had a spare scanning electron microscope, every single sonofabitch with Down's has three copies of chromosome 21 and, here's the kicker, every motherfucker with three copies of chromosome 21 has Down's syndrome. Now it seems to me, the impartial observer, that I see a connection here. The scientologists believe that what I just said is all scientific mumbo jumbo. That's how I can prove them wrong, I just took a tenet of their religion and proved it wrong, without one card the whole house falls. Now stop hating religion for the sake of hating religion, get informed and stfu.

Phrased a different way, Scientology makes claims which are demonstrably utter bullshit. Just like most other 'valid' mainstream religions.

You're wrong. Xenu is altering the results of those exams in order to test your faith.
Sure, you can say I'm making this up, but Xenu actually put these ideas into my brain so I could tell the world. I'm a prophet.
Can you prove me wrong?

You fail to understand that there is no way to prove a belief in any god wrong. Period. Anything based on faith cannot be entirely ruled out as having the possibility of being true. It can, however, be found to be highly unlikely.

You fail to understand that there is no god or faith in Scientology. This conversation and entire thread are about scientology, if you want to talk about whether or not we can prove that god exists I kindly invite you to start another thread. In scientology they maintain that everything that they do is scientifically repeatable, they just have methods and techniques that haven't been discovered yet. The data I cited showed a 100 percent correlation between trisomy 21 and Down's syndrome. Using the scientologists own religion I destroted their entire argument, you and punk rock demonstrate either a basic lack of understanding of the religion of scientology or the subject of this thread. That being said I bid you adieu.

other 'valid' mainstream religions are not as scarily involving, demanding or cultish as scientology, however.

Re: 'xenu' and scientology
Until you do some in-depth research into scientology, you have no idea how fucked up and scary they truly are.
They have a display called Psychiatry: An Industry Of Death, and they think the only solution for Psychiatry is the total worldwide eradication of psychiatry as a whole.

Re: 'xenu' and scientology
When i went to the US for a holiday i stopped by their HQ with my camera....scariest fucking holiday ever ill just say that.
Im sure all religions at the times they were created seemed funny and weird but as time goes on we see more and more people take it seriously until it becomes generally accepted.......we are just at the hilarious beginning.
