You may have experienced a MySQL server error by now. I'm investigating the cause of this instability and trying to find a fix, but it may take a couple of days and the BBS may be unavailable from time to time while this gets straightened out.

Please bear with me while this gets worked out.

Just wondering.. why is PM feature disabled?

Not very many people like avatars/signatures and all that but a lot want PM feature.

We're already having problems with the database, adding PM's into it would just make it worse.

Thanks for fixing the way it sorts threads. Is there a way to turn off the post minimun? It won't let us just quote someone when we think they have a good point. You have to add something to it.

Good deal, I was having an error page come up every three minutes last night, and I havent had a problem all day.

Those who want PM's will have to suck it up and deal with spammers, and those that don't want to can disable PM's.

Problem solved.

As for the messages taxing the server resources, enforce a strict PM limit that will force users to remove old PM's to make room for new ones, and will reduce storage requirements.

No, both words are not correct. Only "bear" was the correct spelling.

Jeff was not asking anyone to open, expose, reveal, or uncover anything (bare). He was asking people to deal with something unpleasant (bear).
