I'd like to do that someday when I'm 18. I know some of you have done it, or have at least been in them quite a bit... What would it be like to work there?

Also, what would you think of your girlfriend/boyfriend doing such a thing? Would you be plagued by irrational fears for their safety or fidelity? Are the fears really all that irrational?

Well my friend is applying to work in a place I've actually been in, it's a smallish store but it has pretty much everything.. toys, magazines, movies.. even booths.

But janitors clean those.

Friend of mine used to work. She said there's rarely people you would call a 'pervert' if you see on the street. She went on to tell me about nice men and women likely stopping in on their way home from work. Many couples, as old as 60 or 70 browse the stores. Then again i think Winnipeg, a fairly small city [1 Million is small for a capitol] is kind of known for it's sex shops. I'd have no problem with a girl working in a sex shop, it's a job, after all.

i used to have a co worker who had worked in a sex shop just before the job we had. He said it was the most fun job he had ever had, but he had to quit because it only paid minimum and there was no opportunity for advancement.

Funny story about a Winnipeg sex shop: If anyones heard of Dominion News (that place sells everything, newspapers to bongs, snacks and dongs), Well at DN my buddy used to go there all the time while waiting for the bus, and he would usually go and read the body building magazines. Well one day he was propositioned by some 80 year old guy who said "He looked like a rough one in the sack"

He never went back there and to this day I make fun of him for wearing Hawaian shirts.
