Fuck you and your free rights bullshit, if you dont have to make extra smoke then dont.
I dont give a fuck if you want to kill yourself, im all for euthanising people who want it but i hate being in smoking places, having my own health affected from your lack of quality life decisons.
Cigarettes are a bad call, and so addictive people cant stop.
I'd be glad if they banned cigarettes, cigarettes are fucking lame.
They should be as illegal as weed, which should be kept as illegal as it is.
This is a serious post.
We could get something started to stop the death sticks, surely.

%100 of non smokers die, but its about quality of life man.
When i go out to a bar i dont want to have my clothes smelling like shit from smoke and smoke in my eyes and lungs all night - its shit.
And beyond that, smokers die younger, have lower fittness levels and end up stringing themselves along with little 02 tanks for a few years, unable to walk without taking a couple of desperate breaths and probably have a few other types of cancer as well.
Fuck smoking.

Banning smoking will only save peoples health and money. Most smokers start young when they're fucking stupid and cant quit a few years later.
In hospitals smokers have higher rates of infection and lengths of infection.

Personaly i think like many of the others I'll sit on the fence here. I will admit right now that i'm not a smoker, however I have no problem with others smoking. That is unless i get a facefull of smoke, however that is more to do with the individal and how much of as asshat they are.
Despite that, in my opinion if someone wishes to smoke and does not impeade on my clean(ish) supply of air then i have no problems with them smoking, not to mention anyone else.

BTW, research has shown that people with mental disorders smoke in higher numbers that people without where the percentage increases with the severity of the disorder. Why? It seems that niccotine helps people focus their minds, which exactly what nutty people need. I think many smokers will understand what I'm talking about. I think it's interesting that in stuff written about this, doctors and researchers seem quite concerned with helping mental patients quit smoking - trying to find out which anti-depressants and anti-psychotic drugs help. The assumptions being that self-medication is inherently evil and that any drug they prescribe could never possibly be as dangerous as smoking.

I did quit for a period of about 9 months. Much to my surprise I found myself encouraging others to quit! I was breathing better, my sense of smell returned, and I gained weight, like 50 pounds. I had quit for someone else and when that relationship went south, I started up again. DOH! |

And beyond that, smokers die younger, have lower fittness levels and end up stringing themselves along with little 02 tanks for a few years, unable to walk without taking a couple of desperate breaths and probably have a few other types of cancer as well.

Obesity is one of the leading causes of preventable death right alongside smoking now. Both smoking and obesity are costing health care (in Canada) billions. If one should be banned then so should the other. But wait, how can we stop people from being fat?
If you put limits on one thing that causes bad health then you must put it on all things. That's the way I see it at least.
