Help me Totse
Alright so this started happening a few weeks ago. I'd just eaten my dinner and started feeling really queasy with a headache, I felt myself about to vomit so I ran into the bathroom and vomited into the toilet. I continued to feel sick until the next day, then it happened again after I ate my dinner. This time it stayed with me longer but eventually it went away. This kept happening and I went to the doctor, he said it had been food poisoning. It still keeps happening, how can it be food poisoning if nobody else in my family is experiencing this and it's happened several times, also, the symptoms are getting worse and this time it is not going away. Totse what is wrong with me, is my doctor wrong?

Have you tried disinfecting your cookery/silverware/chinaware and the surfaces you cook/eat on?

Re: Help me Totse
might be allergies
i'm allergic to alot of foods, and the exact ones come and go at random
just watch exactly what you eat, and limit anything that might be causing the problem

If you really feel uncomfortable about it, get another doctors opinion.

If you have access to a digital camera, post an image of the interior of your refrigerator. Then make a digital image of your kitchen and post it as well.

What temp is your fridge set at? (Check the temp dial.) It should be at least at mid, preferably colder.

Yea, keeping the right cool temperature in the fridge is important. One thing too, its better to rinse vegetables and put them in plastic storage containers rather than plastic bags where bacteria could be trapped and multiply. I would throw away anything that is obviously rancid or no longer used. Then clean the whole interior of the fridge with a commercial quality disinfectant wash. Your counter top looks clean! Though just to be on the safe side a spray with a disinfectant wouldnt hurt. In closing, keep notes on where, when and what you eat for your next meals. That way it will be easier to pinpoint the exact source of infection should you get sick again. Always wash your hands, and avoid leaving food out too long at room temperature.

Re: Help me Totse
I'm pretty sure the definition of an allergy is when a normally benign substance ignites a response in your immune system. As is, you get a rash/hives or your tongue/throat swells up. So maybe you have a food sensitivity (which would cause the puking). But yeah, go to the doctor again. Unless he's a total dumbass, he can rule out food poisoning if it's happened more than once.
There is this disease, I can't remember exactly what it's called, but it's when a person vomits all the time. Like for no reason. So yeah.

If it was because her house was dirty, it wouldn't just be her getting sick.

Re: Help me Totse
If no one else in the house is experiencing the problem, it most likely is not food poisoning. Try the doc again, & if he/she can't come up with something, get a second opinion.

Re: Help me Totse
sounds like stomach flu to me. i had it about 2 months ago and it sucks, but it goes away in a few days. get some anti-nausea meds. promethazine will stop the worst vomiting really well, but you need a prescription and it will put you to sleep for the day. it's strong stuff.

Re: Help me Totse
hmm ive studied food technology at school and i think that the food poisoning could have beeen caused when you were eating out no wiht your family. food poisioning can last form 2 days to 3 weeks, but they will reside after a while. just sit it out, have lots of vegetables and proteins to help you recover and next time, be weary of stinly food. Kepp your fridge cool and make sure you reheat all old food to over 66 degrees celsius(the temp where bacteria dies).
it could also be dirty water. did any water splash onto your mouth? if it is e coli it is dangerous.
your symptoms show a food bacteria, but you dont seem to have trouble breathing, or else that could mean botulism, which is really dangerous (its a food poisoning bacteria that paralyses your nervous system)
