 Looks like my gf committed credit card fraud.
So my gf tells me today that she found a credit card on the ground outside and used it to buy 2 ipods online and had them shipped to her friends house. She lied to her friend and said she had her mom order them but didnt want her dad to know. I flipped and went through the roof because shes so fucked  Shes only 16 so i brought her to her house and made her confess to her mom. Soon thereafter her drunken dad came home and i was forced to leave her there. Im in a state of utter panic and i dont know what to do. *edit* shes really not that smart yet and didnt really realize what she was doing, when i had brought the truth to her and what could happen she was a mess [This message has been edited by Vadagar (edited 03-19-2006).] |

Look, the best thing you can do, if you really care about her, is explain that shit like stealing and lying is not okay, and that her folks are filling her up with their own fucked-up-ness.
Tell her that you really want to hang out with her, but you can't if she's gonna be doing wrong. Tell her that even though her folks are idiots, she's not, and she has a choice to be a good person. Tell her you will support her doing good.
If that doesn't work, then you're gonna have to walk away, because if she can't understand fraud is a bad scene now, you're just gonna go down the toilet with her later.
Maybe you can talk her into going to alateen or some other support group for kids whose parents are fucked up.

Thanks... yea it's the only time she's ever done something like this. I'm completely suprised. What really sucks is our age difference, she is so much younger than me so it's hard for her to understand what i mean sometimes. Its a real pain. |

Got it shipped to her friends house.
The order cannot be cancelled because she fucking waited until today to tell me about it and how she was worried.
There is absolutely no way she will get away with it under the circumstances.
I dont want her ruining her life.

As i stated before... Return the ipods therefore returning the money to the CC. Then whitepage search for who the card holder is and call them and explain what happend. this happend like 2 weeks ago to some of my friends, they stole a CC from some girls house, went to a store and bought like $800 of snowboarding shit. They got caught (They sent some other kid in to buy the stuff, he then signed the receipt with his own name. They then knew they were fucked). So they returned the merchandise and the card and got in no trouble at all. |

Is your girlfriend mentally disabled? A regular 12 year old would be able to understand the implications of stealing money off of a credit card. Depending on the credit card they might not notice the charges. Your friend could have tried to say that a waiter got them mixed up or something similair. Bottom line, there was a chance she could hav e gotten away with it before and now she won't. You hurt here more than you helped her minus the morality.
