Police baton (ASP)
Im not sure if this is the right forum, but il give it a shot! Im looking to get my hands on one of the police baton things that is relativly small, but then opens up when you want to use it. I think you just flick it hard and it lengthens. I believe its called an ASP here, but I aint sure. Does anyone have any idea where I could get one? Im in Edinburgh.

Re: Police baton (ASP)
Hahaha - we're so helpful here at BI, aren't we? You could get it shipped, right? Personally, I'd take the dumbass way and try to lift one off the cop. More thrill. Less money being shelled out.

Re: Police baton (ASP)
Could you obtain pepper spray? Although assaulting a cop is not a good idea, they do carry a lot of useful things. That stuff is pretty effective against all but the most insane and just plain tough opponents. I'm sure the average surprised cop would just curl up and scream. Try to buy kinds with CS gas inside, though I don't know how common this is in the UK. I'm not sure what else you could use, stunguns aren't as reliable since they make your adversary jump and don't have much lasting effect after you're no longer hitting your target.

Re: Police baton (ASP)
ASP is a brand name (like kleenex for facial tissue.) They work OK but they aren't nearly as effective as a standard PR-24. Collapable batons are (obviously) concealable, and niggers and nigger alderman don't seem to whine over police carrying them.--After the Rodney King thing, lots of metro departments quietly switched over--due to their "low-profile" NOT because ASPs work better --- they don't FYI.--Also, there are lots of made in china "knock offs" availiable at like any flea market for about $20.00---no idea about Scotland availibility though. Lastly, avoid the ones with a "spring" middle tube. They are a shit gimmick and don't hit hard at all--- get the standard 3 hard tube sections type.
