 Favorite metal vocalist
For me it would have to be the guy from behemoth. Most brutal vocals ever out of every type of music.

whatshername, from Arch Enemy.
the fact that she's female, and growls like a rabid bear wins it.

Yeah, Nergal's are pretty nuts. Daemon was awesome when he was in Zyklon. |

I like Mikael Akerfeldt (clean vocals are kind of overhyped though), Bruce Dickinson, Hansi Kursch, Dio, and Ozzy around 1974, no earlier and no later by no more than 2 years. |

Akerfeldt would have to be right alongside my other favorite. I was amazed when i first found out he does both the growling and melodic vocals. |

Matti Way. His vocals on the Disgorge(USA) Cranial Impalement album are great.
I like Joe Horvath from Circle of Dead Children a lot, too.

Well if we're talking about only the heavier of the metals, Barney Greenway and Max Cavalera.
In terms of all metal ever, throw Bruce Dickinson and Dio on the list.

Re: Favorite metal vocalist
Nergal from Behemoth George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (do I really have to fucking say what band he's from?) Nocturno Culto (Darkthrone) Mikael kerfeldt Matti Krki (Dismember) Karl Sanders (Nile) Dallas Toller-Wade (Nile) Jon Vesano (ex-Nile) Karl Willetts (Bolt Thrower) Angela Gossow is far from the best but she's got fucking crazy energy. She does rock. |

haha he call himself "Nergal" ... he's certainly fucking awesome in "Slaves Shall Sever". Personally I would vote for Phil Labonte of All That Remains. He has such an insane range. Check out the songs "The Deepest Gray" or "This Darkened Heart". LONG LIVE METALCORE |

Corpsegrinder (you know what band) Karl Sanders (Nile) Rob Meadows (A Life Once Lost) Jens Kidmin (Meshuggah) Ari (Poison the Well) now that i think of it, i guess my fav would be Mikael kerfeldt (Opeth). He has the loudest and best sounding growls ever. He puts so much force into them, it's amazing. i wish i knew how he does it. [This message has been edited by TiTanTHPS (edited 03-20-2006).] |
