| Network (in)Security Interesting hacks and cracks. Info on firewalls, TCP/IP, encryption, networks, and security. The ins and outs of the phone system, caller services, how things work, what's illegal and what's not, cellular phones, beepers, telephony legislation, the PUC, ISDN, taps, who's listening, and switches. Talking about phones, hacking systems, technical advice, and such is completely LEGAL in the United States -- it's covered by the First Amendment. What's illegal is conspiracy to commit a crime. So if you say something like "Meet me at 2am so we can crack a can" or "I changed my cell phone's number myself" you are criminally liable. Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net. |

Re: getting past my school blocker
Try to acsess whatever site you want to go to by doing the following...
Start>Command Prompt>type ping www.[any site].com
Then it will list the IP adress of the site.
Type the IP in the adress box.
BAM! Instant website viewing.
However, your school might block the usage of command prompt, but thats easily hackable.
Start>All programs>Acsessories>Notepad.
From there type command.com and save it as a batch file. Run it, and it opens command prompt! Then you can get the IP.
(This may not work on your school computers, it works on mine though, so thier shouldnt be a problem)

Re: getting past my school blocker
that will probably work because I know they don't have the command prompt blocked at school.

Re: getting past my school blocker
Um..I think this is it...
Add a user by doing the following
C:>net user JohnSmith poopsie /ADD
JohnSmith is now a member of the network. His password is poopsie.
C:>net localgroup administrator JohnSmith /ADD
This will make JohnSmith an admin.
However, your school may not call the admins "admins" so you will have to find the name of the local group they belong to.
You can list all the localgroups by typing
C:>net localgroup
Heres something extra you can screw around with
Net Send <domain> * "Enter message here"
That shows the message on all the screens, if I remember correctly.

Re: getting past my school blocker
My friend did the net send command and 2 minutes later one of the APs stormed into the computer lab and took him down to the office. Now the command prompt is blocked!

well like Whiteboy said you can work around that with notepad. Surely they won't disable notepad or something.

If you make a user with net localgroup name pass /add, it wont make a network account, but just a account on the local computer. Also, then net localgroup command is usually always blocked by non admin users. This is why you need to use any of the methods to get into the C prompt before you log on. (my favorate is the one where you change the logon screen screensaver to a cmd...) Has it occured to someone that you can just ping the address at home then bring the IP to school? Even tho this problem had been fixed with most admins. I just bring a few proxys to school on a piece of paper and use them...

Same thing happened to me. I told this jackass how to do it because he just wouldn't leave me alone. Apparently because of it the office staffs pcs froze up and they had to restart, losing a lot of work. And I got the blame because I told him how to do it, even though I specifically told him not to. Retarded school.

They actually blocked notepad at my school. But you can get around that by making a new notepad file on your hard drive.

Tried to google translate hack? http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=www.forbiddensite.com
Change the 'www.forbiddensite.com' to whatever you want to go to. Note that this method will only bring up text not images, as google can not translate images.
How this works is that the page info goes through google translate, translating the page from english to english. Yes, you are using google as a proxy.
