Rick McCallum promises the new Star Wars television show will be everything the fans wanted the prequels to be, but will be using completely new characters...
He also says the Star Wars TV show is a go - "That's not going to happen probably for another year and a half while we develop scripts and everything else. But it's fantastic; we've got some incredible writers. It's going to be much darker, much more character-based, and I think it's going to be everything the fans always wanted the prequels to be. They'll be one-hour episode. It takes place between Episodes III and IV. It's going to be all-new characters, maybe a few bounty hunters in there to start the series off".


I don't know guys, we can wish and we can dream but theres no way they're gonna get this right, now they have to slut Star Wars out until it gets canceled for American Idol Redux or some crap

People just have to stop making new Star Wars stuff. The original films were great and a couple of the video games were cool. But seriously, who needs all this extra shit? TV shows? Cartoons? Comics? Books? It's all going out of control and just because Lucas can make a fucking huge amount of money from Star Wars geeks still hoping to relive that original Star Wars thrill.

You guys realize that the same people who made clone wars are making this tv show. Clone wars was 100x times better than the prequels. I'm looking forward to it and believe everything they say about how good it will be.

Yeah that is retarded, they need to just leave Star Wars as classics. If anything they should be doing some Expanded Universe stuff, especially General Thrawn, the return of the Emperor etc etc.

Star Wars Comics and Star Wars books are fuckin awesome.

The problem with a Star Wars TV show is that it will never be cancelled, there are just to many rabid fanboys who will prop up the ratings while ol' Lucas churns out more poorly developed shit.

It's his franchise to do with as he likes but the guy is clearly about as creative as a 4 year old in a coma these days.

Grand Admiral Thrawn, or Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Remember, they're re-doing Clone Wars, whic kicked ass. Yes, the EU has its problems, but it is still cool. Realize that.
