I went to a big computer fair today, and I�ve never seen so many table top stalls selling burnt CDs and bogus hacking software; it was ludicrous!

The event organiser is a well respected company and each fair has loads of officials and security guards and shit, I want to know is how the hell do they get away with it.

I don�t see how it is possible. �Loose lips sink ship� so how come this monthly computer fair is still running

A copy of XP for �1. Nearly every CD on every stall was priced at �1- amazing

why should cops care?
the only people that piracy hurts are the ones who own the intelectual property.
its not like you have violent cd pirate gangs running around decapitating people.

And its only illeagle if you don't own the orignal copies so some of its good, plus the factor that no one gives a fuck.

yep pretty much covered above. i dont know how it is in the uk but here in pittsburgh old mob guys run the buildings which there held in so i assume there is an agreement if you know what i mean. and most cops dont even know how to use a cd burner let alone the legalities of software piracy.(no offense intended but most in my area are older technotards)
