maybe you are forgetting to add the main ingredient....cat....no i'm only joking!
it isn't likely the 'propper' recipe, but they do have alot of bottled sauces and mixes out (which have a recipe usually). sorry i couldn't be of more help to you.

it is good - i wish i had a big plate of it now.

preparing chinesse food is the surest way not to like it. A good chow mein involves lard, lots of it. If you make you probably wont be able to eat it.

Chinese food does not contain lard. I have been an asian chef for 20 years. Use fresh veggies, combination sauces with lemon grass, oyster sauce, chicken stock, Garlic,
Ginger. Cut your veggies and chicken to the same size. using a hot wok or pan use a slight coating of peanut oil or soybean oil
saute the food until it is crisp tender. Add the sauce and bring to a quick boil. Add a small amount of corn starch that has been reduced with cold water, quickly toss the the mixture and serve with rice or noodles or crisp noodles. This is not rocket sience.

although you are a complete idiot, you are not completely wrong. It was used in some foods as an afrodesiac in China thousands of years ago. Before you start getting a feeling of superiority though remeber that weastern cullture at the time was composed of a bunch of pedophiles.
