Default Affordable Homemade Weapons

Are you in need of a gun, but dont feel like getting a license, paying money for gun courses, etc.? Well then, you need a homemade black powder muzzleloader. just get a pipe thats threaded on one end, an endcap, and a steel drillbit.

Basically, all you have to do is secure the endcap onto the end of the pipe with some pipe cement, drill a small hole pretty close to the endcap, and tape the pipe onto some kind of stock.

To get some gun powder, you can either make the shitty homemade kind, or you can simply buy some fireworks and take the black crystal like powder out of them. toss some of this shit down the pipe, put a fuse in the small hole you drilled, drop in about 35 bb's, and then pack a little ball of paper down with a stick.

When you light that shit up its almost as good as the real thing.

These are actually legal to own and build (at least for most of us over 18 in the U.S.)

They work preety good except for a few probs

if you don't know what your doing it WILL explode.

blackpowder is unreliable because the caps used for ignition are not sealed up and its not a very stable material. (watch out for water and sparks)

all said homegrown's idea is preety good, I made one of these once KEEP the POWDER DRY and a homemade woden stock and grip is very handy.
OH and if you want to take down serious game like deer or somthing bigger use BUCKSHOT its way more human because they die quickly and painlessly. get it at your local gunshop.

Im a stickler for idiots i hate them .. first off making your own gun is the stupidist thing you could possibly do second of all you do not go out and buy firewaork and rip them apart and pour the powder in there you don't know what the powder is for all you know you could be ripping apart a air bomb or thunder king w/e and have a BP lift charge and a flash powder salute you put flash in a pipe and try and light that you going to have the police coming and trying to identfy lung fragment (gross exaggeration but you will be seriously hurt possibly killed)

also you are using pipeing did you say what kind ?? NOO people might try this with PVC or ABS pipe and find out the next day that they almost died due to the large fragment of shattered plastic in there neck ! you use copper pipeing and your going to have the peeling effect were the barrel actually peals at the end ! or worse yet can not handle the presure and blows up ! you also do not want to have the BB's and the powders touching due to the friction that may ignite pre-maturely

always seperate ammo from powder by use of wadding

there are countless other stupid factors involved and well im hate writing them so i shall just lock this for now and leave you a much safer way with more detail

-------------------------------------
Go buy some thick steel piping about 15 mm inside dia. with a wall thickness of about 5 mm so overall dia. is 20 mm

next go buy some nice thick strong endcaps with some strong epoxy

next you will need to go buy some BB's used in BB guns DUHH

some flame retardent wadding ..

a tin of 2G black powder (about $20 CND)

a drill press

1/8 dia. drill bit

some 1/8 dia. visco fuseing also known as cannon fuse

a die and tap set if your pipeing is not threaded

a stock of some sort
BUY A DAMN GOOD HEALTH CARE PLAN
-----------------------------------------

Construction

Pretty simple unless your a dumbass

get the pipe thread the ends if not threaded apply epoxy in the threads (don't hold out !)

now fasten the endcap to then pipe nice and tight now procede to drill the 1/8 inch hole down near the tube

now insert aand strap this into your stock or put large amounts of padding on the back .. w/e

now insert your visco into the tub then procede to pour the bp into the tube (not sure of the proper amount you should do research on this before hand)

then pack some wadding in there pour your bb's in pack them then put a little wadding ontop

now myself i would do some test before hand buy fireing well away form this god forsaken contraption i just built i would use electric igntion to dry fire and shoot some packed wadding to see if it can handel the pressure stress then move to more and more to test it that way you don't kill yourself

---------------------------
All in all don't make one buy one off your local mobbster it's much safer and smarter

This is closed in DIY and sent to weapons and combat

load the 'BB zipgun' of mine with aluminium
slugs...

add some gun powder to the popper...

and use metal parts....

the aluminium slug penatrates more...

it has slightly less power than a .22 air rifle...

considering i used only the popper...
and the barrel is made of plastic straw...
(with some duct taping...)

the slug i used is simply crushed aluminium foil...

it is heavier than BBs, but still light enough to be fired off...

dont even think of hunting with this gun
(a pistol thingy)
cus there is not enough of power...

maybe shooting foams and cans for fun...

the MK4 is ready, but not the best,
the small loop added to ensure the string
wont get loose..
the trigger is closer to the butt...

if you want a powerful homemade BB gun,
i can draw up a plan....

but the power is close to an pellet gun
rather than a BB gun
(pellet gun means air rifle or lead pellet
guns)

im currently thinking of making a
blow-back BB zipgun...

the mechenism is strong enough to hold
the round until the fuse is pulled...
but the pressure built up will send the
casing, as well as the BB out of
the breach and muzzle...
(a failure design of MK2 in attempt to use
cartriage)

maybe not very effective, but im still improvising...

the reloading is made further simple that
the fuse might no longer be tied by hand,
but pulled by a clamp or sort...

then i may some day make a semi-auto
BB gun out of simple household materials
...(but not today or tomorrow)

Building a homemade black powder firearm is indeed dangerous. The stuff ain't hairspray - Black powder can and will seriously injure and/or kill you if the gun is not built up to spec.
Overall I do not recommend constructing a black powder firearm at all. Air pressure is the way to go. However, black powder weapons can be safely made. As Warweed stated, you want thick steel for your barrel. Instead of screw on endcaps I would suggest welding. You could also build a rudimentary hammer mechansim to strike primers (available at the hardware store as nailgun power loads) to ignite the powder instead of the uncertain timing of a fuse.
As a matter of fact, if you wanted your gun to be small caliber (.177, .22, .25) you could use nothing but the power loads to propel the shot at bullet velocity. This would eliminate the need for measuring out the proper amount of powder (which is the hardest part) and ramming the ball, powder, and wadding down the barrel and so on. Smaller diameter pipe is also stronger and less likely to expode in your face than a great big musketball sized piece since it has less internal surface area for the pressure to act on.
