You can't really go wrong with the classic S&W .38 Military/Police model. It's only been working flawlessly for the last 103 years. The latest version is the Model 10, I think.

Well, I'd suggest a .357 Magnum handgun, because you can fire both .38 special and .357 magnum rounds, and not just .38 special (same calibre, but .38 handguns are not built to handle a .357 load). And personally, I would boycott Smith and Wussy. I'd suggest a Colt Python. Failing that, get a Ruger.

.357 is just .38 scaled up? Colt makes nice revolvers. As does S&W, not sure what the FUCK MagKnight is talking about, but you really can't go wrong with any revolver. They're dead accurate at pistol ranges if you know how to fire. Slowly inhale\exhale... on a exhale, slowly squeeze the trigger. There are various ways to hold the gun. The great things about Revolvers is that they serve their purpose. Cheap, accurate, no safety devices needed, no jamming, no accidents. If you're at the range with a 1911, try holding down the trigger, then sliding the slide back. Or vice versa... I think. Make sure you're pointing downrange...

Technically, .38 special is .357 scaled down. The .38 special cartridge is just a few millimeters shorter, with a much lighter load. It was essentially made to be a lower-powered .357, just like the .44 special and the .44 magnum. And I have a personal boycott on anything S&W because they caved in to HCI.

i would also suggest a .357mag gun over a .38spl. cause it gives you the flexibility of the 2 rounds. theres going to be sometime when you have someone over you want to impress. in that case wait till dusk get that box of .357mags out and shoot a few shots...talk about muzzle flash.

You know you're talking about a revolver cartidge right? The three eighty or .380 would be the semiautomatic verision.
