����The first (9mm) should be quieter, but the difference will not be much. The 9mm is probably of higher quality, too. Multi-caliber supressors don't work as well as singles.

I agree with Zero. The Gem-tec is a better can. Remember you will need to use subsonic ammo to avoid a muzzle crack. Winchester loads a 147gr subsonic round.

dB is a measure of sound (decible). Water helps dampen the sound.

Keep in mind that you will have to reduce the recoil spring and may have to attach an acuator to get it to work right. You will definateley need to do this if you are using a glock.

Br�gger & Thomet cans on average go for approximately two times the cost of the gemtec.

I think the additional weight on the end of the muzzle will still require the use of a recoil booster aka nelson device regardless if you were using a reduced power hammer spring.

From my understanding any firearm using a linkless browning type lockup system requires a recoil booster.

Fixed barrels would not. Example of such would be a supressed HK P7M8 =)
