russian special forces
You may have heard of the seige in moscow and that the russians sent in special forces. Well i was thinking what guns would the special forces have. Its usually an MP5 with the sas, delta force, swat teams, ect but what would the russians use, short ak47s the penitraion would be to much I would think.
This is probably in bad taste seeing like 90 people died in the assult but I think like that.

Re: russian special forces
Russians don't have the same hangups on killing innocent people that we have in the west. For them overpenetration is not a concern.
I am sure they had Krinkovs and other 5.45x39 weapons in addition to makarov or stechken pistols in 9x18.

Re: russian special forces
They used some kind of secret gas to incapacitate the terrorists. I'm sure that most of those 90 people died from this secret gas as well as the terrorists. They have no hangups at all, I'm suprised they didn't act sooner.

Re: russian special forces
Spetsnaz has been using the new Bison Smg which is quite similar to the Krinkov but has a helical drum mag under the forestock which holds over 80 9mm rounds. This weapon has been tested with Russian cyclone bullets which will go through kevlar like shit through a goose! You are also very right about the Russians view on collateral damage. Accomplishing the mission is their number one priority.

Re: russian special forces
From their point of view it was better to end it before the rebels started recieving mass amounts of sypathy for their cause. 118 or so dead victims is far better than all of them being dead. I don't necessarily agree with how they did it, but they got the job done.
News people have been saying that Russia may have violated some treaty just by having the stuff on hand. It should be interesting to see what happens because of that.
