Current Russian military pistols
What does the Russian military use for a sidearm? Cz-75? I have access to the Makarov 9x18 and a Cz-52(tokarov.....almost) and i am wondering what they issue now a days.
Does anyone know what the russians used/uses since about 1970?

Re: Current Russian military pistols
don't know much about sidarms, but I can tell that russians use different modifications of AK since 1950. What I know about sidearms is that Makarov's were injected to russian army around 1980 they have changed TT system pistols. Well if u have to chose then Cz-52 is better becouse Makarov is a combat pistol and It's characteristics for close combat are not very good: russians call Makarov- mymo-mymo-riadom this means: miss-miss-near

Re: Current Russian military pistols
They currently issue Makarovs (which they have been using since the 60's), but are in the process of adopting a 9x19mm replacement (I saw an article about a month ago, but I forget what their new handgun is called).
