Interested in chi training....
Interested in learning about controling your chi, like the shaloin monks or Bruce Lee's 1 inch punch. I have a black belt in karate but our dojo shut down about 4 years ago, and I'm just now wanting to get back into the martial arts. No other dojos are in my town (it's a kinda small town) except this one stupid as hell one that teaches Tae-Bo and basically commerical Tae-kwon-do.
I'd really like to learn Olympic Tae-Kwon-Do and compete but there are no trainers anywhere close to me.
So if anyone has any information I'd sure be glad if yah informed me!

Re: Interested in chi training....
you want to learn qigong, can you stand in a horse stance without moving for at least an hour? can you meditate? Learning qigong is a long, and boring process, and you need a teacher if you want to learn, you cant really learn out of books or videos, because if you do even a little thing wrong without someone to correct you everything will be a waste.

a warning for those who try to learn qigong on your own: it is very dangerous as your 'qi' might cause serious injury if you dont control them well....

Re: Interested in chi training....
Standing in a horse stnace for a hour isn't a problem, keeping focused would be though. And about meditation, any religion involved in it? I'm a firm Christian and don't want to be like a buddisht monk or something.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Interested in chi training....
no problems with meditation really unless philosophy is against your religion. it can be done religiously, christian meditation exists too but imo it'd be a bit limiting that way.
whats qigong? im interested in chi training, plus ninjitsu for the sense training, bout the only interest i have in martial arts is for mind expansion, not body.
