i cna't wait for snow
i love to snowboard...it is the best gawd damm sport that has ever been invented...skatboarding isn't that bad and neither is aggresive rollerblading, wake boarding is quite phun, and so is stuff like skysurfing, skydiving, rocket powered stuff, sandboarding (made my own), and others...but if i were to be offered money or snowboarding, i would take snowboarding....if someone gave me $1000, i would only take enough to get to the nearest snow filled mountain.....i love snowboarding!
i ride a 153 limited transition board with k2 clicker bindings with k2 firebird boots...it is the best setup ever!

Re: i cna't wait for snow
Sounds great, hopefully someone will post that can relate. I had a laminectomy done and I won't be able to snowboard until an alternative for discs are made. I was listening to Good Morning America and there is a hospital in Texas that can perform a procedure where they make an inscision in the front of your torso (where appropriate) and insert and inflate a baloon-like cushion substance that creates a space between the bones in the back and simulates a disc. It was pretty interesting. A woman that was wheel chair bound was actually able to walk again with nominal recovery time. I myself was walking again after three days. I'm a trooper. Yay. Re: i cna't wait for snow
how did the injury occur?
two of my snowboard buddies will be not able to board this winter...one has a neck/spinal cord injury that he need's to get surgury done which will put him out of commision for all of next year, and my other friend actually snapped his collar bone last end of season...his bons is still f**ked up cuz you can actually see where the bone broke and now it isn't aligned properly so he also has to go in for surgury!
and of course...myself...i tried to make it a goal to have some sort of injury last year....bombing mountains, hitting sick jumps, trying crazy shit but nooooooooo...i couldn't even get a concusion (sp?)
how ironic is that?

Consider yourself blessed. If you wanna break the rest of your body into a thousand pieces, go ahead.. but don't fuck up your head with concussions.. it's not fun and it lasts forever.

Re: i cna't wait for snow
not a concusion..per-say...i always wear a helmet and i can talk about many occaisons that i know saved me from a really painful experience..but like small stuff like sprained wrist..broken fingers...without them...i feal that i don't learn from any mistakes..and i guess without mistakes it sound like i'm perfect at it..which i know i'm not.
i'm not stupid either..like ya-know?
