Would copper citrate dissolve in?
Would copper citrate dissolve in methylated spirits?
Ive made some from cit4ric acid and malachite.
If it does dissolve I would use it for things liek firestaffs to make green flames.

A simple search on google would give you an answer.

Re: Would copper citrate dissolve in?
I just tried a few searches, all turned out to be useless.
I have no idea what to search for to get the answer I want.

Re: Would copper citrate dissolve in?
Well there is no info on the alcohol solubillity online or in the Merck.
I suggest you just make pure cupric citrate by mixing hot aqueous copper sulphate with hot aqueous sodium citrate.
You can get the copper sulphate at any pharmacy in the world, cheaply no questions asked, you can get the citric acid at any pharmacy as well, and then convert it into the sodium salt using baking soda.
Unless you are dead set on using malachite.

Re: Would copper citrate dissolve in?
Thanks
Ive already made it, there is probably a bit of citric acid left in it but that shouldent matter too much.
The solution in water is a nice blue colour.
