Default Scraping RP

I read where someone is having trouble removing RP from matchbook striker pads. Well, first use Diamond brand deluxe matchbooks ( a buck or so per box of fifty), then cut the striker pads off, soak them in extra strength acetone (from the hardware store) for about two or three minutes, put on rubber gloves (the kind you get to change the oil in your car), and rub the stuff off the cardboard into the acetone. It is very time consuming, but you have to pay your dues for not wanting to get busted (which I hope I'm not setting myself up for right now by talking about this kind of stuff). The rest of the story is about separating the RP from the glue and crap. If you can't do this part, DO NOT TRY, BUY!!!!!!

Just a quick suggestion, try using lacquer thinner to soak (or shake) the strips in after you cut them, then after filtering that off, soak it in "goof-Off" for a few minutes, this really seems to break up the glue.
Make sure to soak it in acetone afterwards to get rid of the Goof-Off, it doesn't evaporate all of the way out. This method has been MUCH less time consuming.

SWIM will try this. He just woke up or he would tell everyone the chemical in goof off. Maybe Bren can tell you. By the way Bren, exactly which kind (not brand) of lacquer thinner are you referring to?
