I've been writing out a meth synthesis in microsoft word to help me learn everything, taking various ideas from different ideas from chemhead, but I've got 2 questions from your old synthesis...

"after it is the proper ph, drain the water layer into your visionware bowl and put it on the burner and boil down. you can finish with a hairdryer if you want..."

Alright, so I take my water layer off my non-polar solvent layer, and boil down the water layer? Why would the water layer contain meth?

Also, when you say you should keep your water/lye layer (after adding the NP Solvent), how can you test that for meth later on?

the water is going to be your bottom layer and the meth is in it because you just added Hcl which made it water soluble (or not a freebase anymore if that makes it easier to understand) Thats why its in the water instead of the NP

also you keep the lye water to do another extract on if you want to try to get more out. just add more NP to it and continue from there again.

Also...
After you've done your second pull on the NPS, you said to drain the meth/water into your clean visionware bowl. Do you mean the second pulls' water layer, or everything in your seperatory flask?

you only want the water layer after you add the Hcl. no matter what pull it is. just drain out the water and slowly evaporate to get your crystals
