whats a catalyst? how does it work? whats a reduction? what does reflux mean? i you know chemistry you should be able to answer these, but I dont think that you have the "knoladge" to complete an LSD synth

Also, youre not going to be able ot make it, okay? Plain and simple1 If you have to ask, for a set of detailed instruction, in my opinion, youre not qualified to do so. If you where qualified, you wouldnt neccessarilly know every detail involved, but youde be more likely to make a post about the questions you did have pertaining to the synth you can up with!

Ok, so I made a long post, but I was a dumbass and didn't type in my name correctly, so it erased my post. blech. The point of the post was, LSD is patented, you can look up the formula and the lab reproduction techniques just about anywhere with a decent library. But it's hard to do if you don't have the knowledge to interpret the technical papers. Making drugs or explosives, or any chemical compound really is inherently dangerous when not done in a professional quality lab. Oh well, if you die of acute nitrate poisoning or light yourself up like Richard Pryor then it'll just cleanse the gene pool.

Acidmelt, don't respond to attacks on your personal knowledge or moderator abilities unless they seem to be a legititmate concern. You should try to maintain an air of professionalism.

ergotamine reflux in inert atmosphere with hydrazine to give dl-isolysergic acid hydrazide. Then with either di(p-toluyl)-l-tartaric acid or l-norephedrine to give d-isolysergic acid. Then make the azide with sodium NO2 to give d-isolysergic acid azide. Then mix this with diethylamine to give a mixture of d-isolysergic acid diethylamide and d-lysergic acid diethylamide. Seporate these two compounds on a column of aluminium oxide. Mix with d-tartaric acid to give the water soluable d-LSD-d-tartrate.
All these steps are done in darkness and in an inert atmosphere. You will require approximately $10,000 for equipment and chemicals. Plus you will need a whole lot of practical organic chemistry knowledge. If you do not have said you will most likely blow yourself up or burn the building down. You are working with organic solvents every step of the way.

There are other ways to do it so that you wont need 10,000 dollars to do it, actually it probaly could be done with mostly homemade shit, but still you need a lot of Knowledge.

I've looked into acid manufacture for years now and realize that it's next to impossible to make for the average person. Getting the patent is useless because for the average mo-fo, it's some wierd ass language in code!

If you soak morning glory seeds, will LSA really grow off of it? Sounds dangerous. Ingesting some mold that grows off seeds.

dont eat the mold off seeds.... just extract the LSA out of the seeds, if you are so inclined

Thats the whole point. If your not knowledgable enough to look at a patent and actually understand it, then your not knowledgable enough to make LSD. It takes extreme patience and skill. Everything sounds easy until you actually do it. I can break down a synthesis that is a paragraph into a fucking novel in terms a blithering idiot could understand. But a blithering idiot lacking the necessary lab skill (and knowledge, not so much about the actuall physical chemistry as knowing what your working worth, knowing what to do in emergencies, and knowing the dagers involved) will fail. That is certain.
