My question is How can or how do you check for the purity of crystal meth shards and how can you tell the difference between crystal meth the real deal and the cut that is going around that people are selling as the real deal ? without smoking it to test it ? a real way to test it ? and is there a chemical test kit out there, that is sold to consumers ? also how pure should it be and how do you tell how pure it is.
I read that crystal meths purity level should be around 16.9 percent is that true ?

can someone help me on this one. A friend of mine thinks that he may be getting burned and asked me if I could find out for him, wink wink ? Thank you

The purity of crystal should be 100% or close enough to it to not matter. It should not ever be cut, if cut it's called "crank" or a powdery waste of fucking money.

A burn test is an excellent indicator of some cuts or one can do an acetone wash. A test kit can tell you what something is but nothing you can do in a few minutes will tell you the purty of a sample.

yeah you will have to melt it and watch the shape of the crystals as it recrystalizies. plus you should be able tell by the taste of just one hit. and tryp is right, it should be close to 100% pure. also I deleted your other post that was exactly the same in better living through chemistry. we dont post the same topic in different forum around here so remember that for the future.

Also remember that when absolutely 100% pure meth vapourizes off of a surface, it leaves no residue at all.

SWIM produces meth that comes out at about 95% purity and it also leaves no residue.

Actually, after reading something at The Hive, a residue test isn't always good because there is a type of cut people use (forgot the name) that burns clean as well.

Ok. This one I DO know! One method that's been overlooked here is water-soluability. But then again unless you throw darts(on yourself) you wouldn't have this come to mind. Ok. Take your powder scales and weigh one-tenth of a gram and throw it into a spoon. Take a 1cc syringe and draw up ten units of water. Squirt it onto your tenth and roll up a tiny-tinny ball of cotton from a Q-tip etc. Drop it onto the solution and draw up. Be sure to look at the needle and see that it is cut(the tip) at a 45' angle. Now, when you draw up you should get 20 untis with NOTHING left in the spoon. Anything left is trash/cut/not dope. And what is good about this method is if you don't bang(shoot-up) you can squirt the syringe onto a mirror/piece of galss whatever. And the water will evaporate and leave the crystal/crank behind. Anytime you get something left in the spoon or do not double your initial volume of water then your shit has been walked-on/cut etc. We call it "double-bubble" cause you double what you put down when you pull-up with nothing but cotton in the spoon. And to really make the whole procedure kosher use dH2O(distilled water).And also, 95% of dealers cut with something not readilly water-soluable. Comprende' amigo?!
