Can any one tell me what Isopropyl alcohol is used for, or just any general info about it..please!!

Yah its a good thing to use to get the resin outa ur pipes. Yes it can be used to extract the THC outa cannabis however it tends to be one of the worst solvents you could use that will actually work effectively that is. Allow me to ask how your planning to extract the THC from the cannabis are you going to reflux it with the solvent? There are lots of different things you can use. Then there is always the poor lazymans butane extraction method it aint the best but it works. You take a PVC pipe with endcaps that you fill with cannabis and have a buncha small holes drilled in the bottom end with a sheet of filter paper over it and 1 hole at the other end that is just big enough to allow the tip of a butane canister to fit into and you release the butane into the pipe (essentially making a crappy pipebomb so try to be carefull and leave it alone and do it outside) let it all drain through and be sure to have a collection containor at the other end.

In case anyone cares, 99% isopropanol is available as "Iso-HEET" brand gas line dryer from auto stores (in the red bottle)

I have to disagree, iso alc is a good solvent for most any alkaloid extraction. Remember, though, that methanol is one of the more carcinaginic ones (Et-OH and ISOPr-OH are the best)

i soaked re-condensed plant resins in acetone the first time i used the method; isopropyl alcohol(2-propanol) that i extracted from 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol because i didn't have acetone, so i figured the hydrocarbons in the 2-propanol were rich enough, and they were.

Any more fucked up questions?
