Meth Book Review
Here I am reviewing "Secrets of Methamphetamine Manufacture" 1996 Uncle Fester from Loompanics.Com This is not just another cookbook but contains about 250 pages densely packed with info. It also covers MDA, Ecstacy and others. There are some really surprising "starter" formulas for example the two catalysts Palladium black on Carbon, and Palladium on Barium Sulfate. Chapters are: 1. Chemicals and equipment 2. Leuckart-Wallach reaction 3. Phenylacetone 4. N-Methylformamide 5. Methamphetamine 6. Industrial size production 7. Phenylacetone from B-Keto esters 8.Phenylacetone via tube furnace 9. more Phenylacetone 10. Phenylacetone from Allylbenzine 11. the Bomb 12. Reductive Alkylation without Bomb 13. Methylamine 14. Ritter Reaction: Amphetamines direct from Allylbenzene 15. Methamphetamine from Ephedrine or Psuedoephedrine; Amphetamine from PPA 16. Methcathinone 17. MDA, Ecstacy XTC, and others 18. Ice 19. Calibrating Vacuum 20. from Allyl Chloride and Benzene 21. Doctoring sick crank 22. Phenylacetone from Benzene and Acetone 23. Extracting 1-meth. from Vicks inhalers 24. avoiding trouble 25. Legit exxcuses for chemicals
If anyone has some other books, then please describe and name them.

Re: Meth Book Review
pah, i know what the festering uncle does for a trade, and his electro meth have been widely ass holed in the past, some stuff has creditable use, as the pill gakk bockers modled there tests on his method from the book, , they never thought about placebos cure ever comming up,
festers stuff doesent all work im afraid, but some of it does, he still seems to be messen with sudo, from over at the zoners,
i would avoid using that book as the law, as if a newbie, try worloks or some other synth first, as only people that have experience can point out the far fetched methods that fester claims to do.

Re: Meth Book Review
i agree that it is intersting reading material, but there is alot of bunk info in there.
ex. The all to well known meth from vicks inhalers method. sure it gives you meth but not what you think you gonna get if your a newbie. (it is inactive)

Re: Meth Book Review
i like Zwitterion best, probably because his personality and educated risk taking(e.g. no fume hood on the Cyanogen Bromide in his apartment) Always love shulgin thought i wish i could understand everything he does and why he does it better Fester just sucks. Come on- levo methamphetamine? Why throw shit like that in there? I'd like to see the book though to see how much is legit because that's all i got from the post.

Re: Meth Book Review
OK folks my cards on the table. I am not interested in cooking Meth; rather some friends want that improvised Palladium black on carbon that Fester has on page 170. Does anyone know if its for real? I know Festers Sodium metal extraction on page 177 is bogus. Read's "Industrial Chemistry" gives the working temperature of a Lye based electric cell at 600C. Thus you would need multiple gas burners and an arc welder; not just Fester's hotplate and battery charger.
