Drilling holes in rubber stoppers
I was wordering how to drill a hole in a rubber stopper. I have one about 2" wide i was wondering if i could drill 3 5mm holes it it without it cracking/fucking up....
Oh and does anyone know a way that i can drill holes in clay a vase without it breaking.

you would take a piece of aluminum tubing and by pushing and twisting on the rubber stopper with the tubing it will drill the whole for you. always make the hole a little smaller than what has to go into it, so that it will fit tight.

It is quite difficult but possible to drill hard rubber neatly. The twist drill is ground with a sharp concavity rather than a sharp cone. Both cases have cutting edges of course, and a drill press feeds straight. I have ruined more stoppers than I have managed to modify.
