Re: Sport car questions
I don't really think your question could be more vague. You can put a blower, and headers on anything. Almost all cars come with an exhaust. Most used cars are under $12,500.
You need to be more specific about what you are looking for. Front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, muscle car, econo car, sleeper, import, newer, older etc.........

Re: Sport car questions
What i was refering to was an import. I was planning on putting like flowmasters on what ever i got. What kind of headers can you put on an import? How much does a supercharger cost?

Re: Sport car questions
I couldn't have said it better. Do a little bit of reading on cars before you try to decide on aftermarket stuff. I don't mean car magazines either. You sound like you really need to learn the basics. I'm not talking down to you, I'm being realistic. If you don't learn about cars, you'll just be throwing money at it.

Re: Sport car questions
if you're looking for an inexpensive, lightweight sporty-type car that's fairly quick (even more so in this case) in stock form, then screw the japanese cars. try and look for a 1990-1994 Volkswagen Corrado. the '90-91 models come with a supercharged 4 cylinder that produces 150 horsepower, whilst the later versions come with a narrow angle V6, which produces 178 Horsepower. the G60 version (SC-4) is generally cheaper due to the smaller engine, and most corrado's have been used hard (they're ment to really go.) so I suggest making sure the G-lader (volkswagens name for the supercharger) is in good shape. take it to your local mechanic who knows his V-dubs. as for the SLC (VR6), you shouldn't have to worry about tuning it right away. it produces a massive amount of torque, from 170 ib-ft at 4000 to 6800 RPM's. in stock form, it can do 0-60 MPH in 6.4 seconds (provided you know what you're doing) and trust me, you may think it sounds slow, but it's alot faster than your aforementioned honda prelude. in fact, 6.4 seconds is damned fast. it was the fastest in it's class back when it came out, and is still hard to beat today (without heavy modifying).
hears how I see it: don't modify your car right away. putting a turbo or super on it is a big waste of money. go for the smaller stuff first, then work your way up. and seriously, exhaust systems hardly change anything. they just make your car sound like shit.
