My First truck
Hey, I have a couple questions...I recently bought a 89 Dodge Dakota for 700 bucks Canadian(great shape, one owner, new transmission, etc), and I was wondering about wiring up a CD player inside do any of you have a good site on wiring? My bro is giving me his old 12" pioneer speakers and Deck w/ Amp...
Thanks in advance

Re: My First truck
Not too hard if you know which wires are your Positive, Negative, and Constant hot. Figure those out and it's smooth sailing. Once you've got that done, it's basically trial and error to find out which wires go to which speakers, unless you still have the manual that comes with the deck. If you're adding an amp you might want to hook that up at this point, couple Female plugs on the back of your Deck, or on Pigtails are your Preamp outputs, Plug into those and route your cable. Reason I say do this Now is because it's a bitch to take the Deck back out when you want to add an Amp or whatever. Wrap the exposed ends of the cable with electrical tape though.
