Re: Sad state of the union
A number of years ago, a kindergarden girl was expelled for bringing a gun to school, a water gun.

Re: Sad state of the union
TexasLiberationArmy, jesus christ!! do your parents know what happened? were you able to smack some sense into the administrative goons over there at your school?
That is so ridiculous. I remember when I was in second grade a friend of mine brought in a handfull of loaded ammunition for show and tell and we passed them around the classroom so everyone can touch em. Later on that year another kids dad came in to talk to the kids about hunting, sportsmenship and gun safety he concluded his presentation by passing around a unloaded vintage 1911 type colt fortyfive.

Re: Sad state of the union
Yea my parents know. my dad got real pissed and went up to my school when he found out. he managed to have the police called on him when he demanded to see the AP. It was put on my record that I am a danger to school and the people around me. Im kno subject to random searches because i said my dad had photo ID. theres not a damn thing i can do about it since i have no rights in school. but i will get payback.me and like 30 of my freinds are going to go sit in the front office for the day with NRA shirts on. i probably will be expelled for it tho.
I Love Poop- my dad said when he was in school they all had guns in their trucks and carried them in school. It was allowed where he grew up and they didnt shoot anyone.

Re: Sad state of the union
I can't believe this bullshit. You have no appeal procedure whatsoever? They just declared you a danger, and you have to live with it because it's their decree? Unbelievable.

Re: Sad state of the union
Highschool is bullshit, get through it as quickly as possible without getting expelled. Look forward to college, in a way it's a improvement. Although there are a lot of liberal teachers that spend a entire class hour ramming down their politics down your throat instead of teaching the actual course matieral you're there for. Those are the professors that always give out a easy "A" though =)
I like the teeshirt idea, i'm sure if they disciplined a entire group of kids for wearing a pro second admendment tee shirt there would be atleast one good local attorney that would love to jump on the case.

Re: Sad state of the union
Through fear and ignorance the modern school has become a police state. Students are keep in control by fear not just of detentions and extra homework, but of arrests and fines. Its being run more and more like a prison and at least in my school we are watched by cameras in the hallways and parking lots. This also shows how owning a gun is becoming a crime itself. Like commiting a pre-crime from Minority Report, we have been found guilty without hurting anyone.

Interesting point about M79 - him and our pal Josh once covered the school sign with a homemade one saying "Political Prison - No Escaping, Please."

Re: Sad state of the union
Schools have become over-paranoid since Colombine. Hell, when my grandma went ot high school she was on the rifle team. Yeah, that's right, a rifle team at school. She even carried her gun all around the halls.
You should see Chicago schools now. What a change...
