A guy last week killed 11 kids in a kindergarten class with a knife!!!!. You can thank Japan's tough gun laws, and the people that said that knives cause less damage than guns. btw 4 more were injured before he was stopped.

UNF, maybe less. Probably 9 shots max before the fucker had to reload and he could be taken out, and the whole school would be alerted after the first shot. This event, though sad and tragic, proves that gun laws don't help a fucking thing. Hypothetically speaking, if I really wanted to I could probably go into an elementary school with a knife and take out 30-40 people without major problems, but if someone came blazing with a gun into my highschool the cops would drop his ass in under a minute. I'm not a psychopath though so I don't go around killing people, but the fact remains that there would still be mass-murderers without legal guns around (they can't ban knives anywhere anyway you put it). The criminals who want to kill people would still have their weapons and us law-biders would have nothing to defend ourselves with. I'd move to Texas myself if it weren't so damn hot.

The problem is all of Japan's ILLEGAL guns. The usual American idealistic view of Japan is a Happy Sunny place where nothing Bad ever happens (like in Sailor Moon or something), but the facts remain: There IS crime in Japan, and it rains bloody often. There are probably just as many illegal firearms there than anywhere else. Gun control nothing - I think it's a good thing that lunatic only had a knife.

well, i am just tellin u guys that gun control won't do shit. i love to hunt and stuff and i hate anyone that wants gun control. people these days don't need to gun each other down to kill them. Any extreem mass murderer would get a gun anyways if they were outlawed. and if they can't, well, they are not good at killing. i could give a fuck if auto handguns were outlawed but if rifles and shotguns were, i would not be satisfied. it is at least 20 times harder to conceal a 30-06 and go on an urban shooting spree than it is to quietly conceal and kill with a knife or a god damn pencil or somethin.

In Australia the Government has banned both Guns and knives(hunting).
This is good.
And you are fucked if you think otherwise.
Killing a man with a gun is alot easier than with a knife.
