Re: "the simpsons"
I think he's reffering to things like the "Talking Simpsons Watches" from Burger King (I think.) The Simpsons need to be retired; I'm a long time fan, but I was disgusted at some of the awful episodes they put out last season. They had Ralph Wiggum appear in several episodes in a row, it was pitiful.

Re: "the simpsons"
Back to what I was saying about the sell-out aspect; it's a FOX show, how did you not see it coming? (Also: the Simpsons have always had shitty merchandise Bartman pins and such garbage.)

Re: "the simpsons"
It seems that the originality and humour have slowly diminished, well that's what it seems to me. Reruns and over commercialism. I still enjoy the show and watch it still, but if it wasn't on I probably wouldn't really worry about it.

Re: "the simpsons"
the humour isn't as consistant as it used to be. im not one of those people who feel the show jumped the shark when the focus switched from bart to homer, but i do feel it has become too wacky.

Re: "the simpsons"
It's changed from a story based show to a public satire show as I see it.
Take the biggest current news thing, send the Simpsons to wherever that is, wacky adventure, 'Doh', happy ending.
Or, if there's nothing big going down- Take one of the shitty backround characters, come up with some wacky plot about them, involve Homer, 'Doh', happy ending.
..I think it may be slightly formulaic these days.

What the HELL are you talking about? The one episode with hungry hungry homer last season was terrible. I actually turned it off in my disgust. They really really REALLY need to retire, cancel, or blow up the show now. It is pretty pathetic. And while theyre at it, bring back family guy.
