i don't know what you mean by "evolve", but no. computer-generated anime isn't like normal anime. it's a whole different style of art on it's own. would you call a completely computer generated show (even if it's done anime-style) anime? i would hope not, because it isn't. true anime is done by pencil, pen, ink, and paint. sure, they could color it via computer, but it wouldn't be the same.

well you used the spider-man cartoon as an example. nowadays modern cartoons don't show the same sequence/background/whatever over and over...well they don't do it as much...i think. BTW I realized i am sounding pretty anti-anime in the last couple posts, which isn't really true cause i dig shows with big mechanical armored fighting machines and really the only place to find those are in anime. I realize that it wouldnt be anime but are there any innovative anime cartoons or computer generated ones? what i am trying to say is are there any anime shows that don't look like the rest of them. sorta like a sub-genre?

well, i know some true anime-style shows, such as Gundam Wing (i don't know if that's still playing, but i saw Endless Waltz. it was KICK-ASS!), but for comp-generated animes... i'd say either Voltron (yes, i used to watch that piece-o'-shit show --; ) orummm... Maxe Steel. they're ok. but i still prefer the originals, such as Dragon Ball or Sailor Moon. yes, i still dig sailor moon, so you can kiss my ass with cherries on top if you think it sucks :P

Hate to tell you this but 99% of all the new anime that has come out recently has been created using computers in some way. So according to your logic none of the new anime is real anime. You should check out "Blood, The Last Vampire". Best blending of cell and CGI I have ever seen anywhere. It is available on U.S. DVD.
BTW DBZ sucks donkey schlong stuffed in a duck.

I personaly dont mind that they used comp's I even like the animation better, its not the fact that it comes from japan nor the fact that its all "hand drawn" its the kick ass story lines and the fact that they dont cencore it like crazy....and the animation is pretty cool, they do shit that they cant do in real movies
