This is definatly something worth looking into, it would be cool to be able to give a coke machine coin-diahrea with the press of a few buttons.

Re: vending machine...read on
There are loads of different keypresses to make the lcd screen thing display different things. On the Cadburys chocolate vendors you can get it to display the current time, the current date, the date of the last refill, the date of the last fix, how much unsorted change it has, how much sorted change it has, how much money there is in its box (not where the change comes from) and other stuff that displays different little grahpics (like on a fruit machine, one arm bandit, where the the lights turn on and off to look like a slitherery snake etc). But do you seriously think that they would include a set of keypresses that would make it drop all its change? How dumb would that be- and also what would be the point? The only people that the company would want to be using such keypresses (to get the money put or a free drink) would be the maitenance staff- which have the keys to get such things anyway.

I dont know if this is necesarily true or not but i heard that if you have a warm cup of soapy water and pour it into the change slot it will start spitting out pop and change but the problem with this is it will fuck the machine up permanently so you cant get caught

I heard that too, but it only is supposed to work on the older machines. Key presses? Maybe they do have it to display certain things, but the unlock codes? I thought all their locks were manual (not controlled by electricity), I could be wrong. Like it was said before, that would be a good experiment.

A long time ago back in the day... When the dollar acceptors just got installed to pop machines. You could take a big mouthfull of water and spit it down the dollar slot for a wonderful shower of coin returns, but alas they figured out that one pretty quickly.

Put some card or something like that up the coin return slot. Then you leave it for a while and walk away with the money. You could just beat the guy up that comes to refill the machine and steal his keys.

I went to a camp once, the machines there were pricey($1 for a can, $2 for a bottle I think) and the doors were always open. Alot of us stole 20oz coke's, just opened the door and got one out. It was fixed like the next day though. Someone must have busted the lock off. If you had a blow torch you could melt it off. I might have to try that some time.

Re: vending machine...read on
This would be a good idea for anyone that has a vending machine.
Fill your vending machine with soda as usual, but before you leave post semi-formal looking notice on the front that says something to the effect of pb["IF YOU GET A CAN OF BEER FROM THIS VENDING MACHINE PLEASE CALL THE FOLLOWING NUMBER xxx-xxxx"[/b]. Put the phone number of your local laundromat or something.
The theory is that the note will give people the impression that there is a chance that you will get a beer out of the soda machine. This will of course attract lots of underage kids willing to insert all of their lunch money on the off chance of getting a beer. (A machine near a school playground is optimal for this.)
Also, if you word the notice properly, you could give people the impression that they could become part of a class action lawsuit if they happen to be one of the unfortunate people to get a beer out of a soda machine. There are lots of people looking for that kind of action.
Each time you come to refill the machine, grab the notice off angrily and crumple it up (in case someone is watching), and then have someone discretely repost it later.

Re: vending machine...read on
my friend and i were taking a class at verizon once, and went to get a candy bar or something from the vending machine, but realized the panel wasnt completely shut! So we opened this panel thing and there were all these buttons on the other side.. we were able to make it spit out four quarters or a dollar coin at a time(just keep pressing one of the buttons on the inside panel).. and we used these to get a whole bunch of candy and chips and even cokes from the machine next to it... then we kept like 10 dollars in coins each... we just got really lucky... fun times...
oh yeah, i thought it was salt water that you poured into the machines... its a better conductor... i dunno..

Re: vending machine...read on
I know on the Snapple machines a way to keep getting free drinks.
Here's what you do. After you put your money in bend down and stick your hand in one of the three slots. You will feel a flap that would normally open up to let the bottle through when it fell on it. Hold this flap closed tightly. Now make your selection. When the bottle falls on top of the flap keep holding the flap. You will notice that the display beeps and will read whatever money you put in. At this point you can either hit coin return or make another selection! The machine thinks the bottle got stuck at the top because it didn't go through the flap and set of a sensor of some sort. Anyway enjoy the free drinks and don't get caught.

Re: vending machine...read on
In the states, Coke has released some new machines. They aren't your classic vending machine. First off the body is one big curve and the buttons are on the center of the machine instead of on the side and the buttons are really big. Anyways, I have been told that if you take a little vinger and pout it into the coin slot and then put in some baking soda (everyone's favorite reaction as a kid) the reaction will melt or disable a few switches in the machine. One switch releases all the unsorted change, one releases the left most track of the vending mechanism resulting in free cans of whatever is stocked in the left most track. I haven't tried this but I'd love to see if it works. Just put the vineger and the baking soda in small ziplock bags are pour them in by the bag. I don't think you need more than an ounce or so but use more vinegar than baking soda because vinegar is the solvent.

Re: vending machine...read on
there is no keypress to unlock the machines or make change come from the coin return. i have reviewed all of the machine manuals, and there are only a certain few combinations on the coke machines that you can get anything 'usable' to display on the screen.
salt water works, but only on the really old machines. their coin slides, the thing the coins ride down into the coin box on the inside of the machine, are solid plastic. on newer machines, in an effort to combat 'salting', the machine makers have made the slide slotted. this allows water to pass right through the front of the machine and out the bottom of the machine, rather than sliding down the slide, disabling the controls.
tying a string to a quarter and dropping it down until it registers then back up, then down, then up, etc. works but only on old machines. the newer model changle assemblies have a mechanism in place to insire that coins go in only one direction. the same is true of the old 'tape a dollar bill' scam. this works on older machine, but no longer the new ones. there is a sort of 'shredder' in many of the bill validators that engage when any reversal of direction on the bill is detected, not caused by the machine (such as someone pulling a dollar bill back out.
my recommendation on how to enter into a machine (without destroying it) is to learn how to pick locks. i started about 3 months ago, and i've picked just about every type of vending machine lock they make. the picks are expensive, from $50 to $400, however. if you really want to go pro, you can purchase a tubular lock cutter/duplicator for around $1000.

Re: vending machine...read on
i tryed the string thing with the coin & it worked on a payphone but once i put it in i couldn't pull it out, only raise and lower it which gave me major credit. there must be a valve thing that lets you put coins in but not out and after that a coin sensor.

Re: vending machine...read on
the best way to screw over a vending machine is if you can get access to the back off it unscrew the metal back panel and pull it off there u will easily have access to all the contents and the money and if you screw it back on with out damaging the back to much they wont fiqure out how you done it so do it over and over again. the best place of course is at school at the end of the day especially if theres a lot of fat rich bastards at your school go on try it you know you wanna

Sorry but the refridgeration etc is in the back of vending machines and you cant get to the money from the back because there is also all the can rails etc. The money drops in to a steel container a few inches below the coin return on the front!

i have to give you credit thats acually one hell of an idea, and so simple too. i wouldhave never thought of it. its so easy and you could make a modest amoult of money with virtualy no effort... it might be cool to put a little red food kool-aid or some shit on it as an added touch, after all, who wants to touch a 'bloody' piese of toilet paper just over some change? ALSO... the pop machinne at my school used to give out two cans of pepsi every other time you pressed a certian button... is there a way to control this that anybody knows or is it just a glitch/human mistake.
