how you make a good one?

NOTE: i posted this a few weeks ago, and all i got was some stupid asses thinking they are smart and telling me WHAT a megaphone is. i know what a megaphone is, i need to know how to make one

Well- i didn't see your previous topic but i think that i could offer my knowledge.

A megaphone at a basic level is a microphone, an amplifier and a speaker.


So you get a cheap microphone (think pub karoke).
Depending on what sort of amplifier you get either:
1. cut the jack of the end (metal bit). Splice the wires to leave some bare copper and then wrap them around the amplifier inputs.
2. plug the microphone into the amplifier
3. use your head to work out how to connect them

Then connect you speaker to your amplifier outputs. Hook the amplifier up to the mains (or battery power with a converter). Turn the amp, speaker and mic on and Voila

If you need the system to be small then you can get these little tv mics (what they have on chatshows- like a little button that attaches to the persons shirt). You can get small amplifiers called "smokey amp" its the size of a cig packet (look on www.firebox.com and similar gadget sites). As for the speakers you should be able to pick up cheap cd player speakers (which are fairly small) from hardware shops or cateologue stores.
