Re: Fireball pics (mini)
Nice. That's about like the kind described on my site. I like mine better than the standard gas-in-a-bag variety, because mine has the BP in the bag and the BP will destroy all of the bag immeditely rather than catching the lawn on fire.

but it is usually not a liquid. It wouldnt be that useful when using these things, becuase the bag is so small and cant hold much.

Re: Fireball pics (mini)
It wasn't a coffe can, but it was still pretty big. It didn't work as planned (I used too much powder) or itw would have been a lot bigger... (can on right side next to hairspray): http://krimzonpyro.com/ep/mediadir/homemade2002all.jpg going off: http://krimzonpyro.com/ep/mediadir/biggasminelarge.jpg smaller size can: http://krimzonpyro.com/ep/mediadir/tincanfireball.jpg going off: http://krimzonpyro.com/ep/mediadir/tincanfireballframes.jpg Zero mentioned a hardware store by him selling nap flakes by the box, if I can find something like that I'll make a huge one!

Re: Fireball pics (mini)
shit dude it that can in yer pic made a fireball that big i could just imagine a coffee can which is about 4 time bigger. in a few year i think ill try a garbage can and a black garbade bag full of gas that would be crazy if it worked right. would flash powder work in a fireball?

Re: Fireball pics (mini)
well, unless you find a metal garbage can with really thick walls(like 1/4) black powder would work. Any less, and black powder would have enough force to blow the garbage can up, and the gas wouldnt go very far, and it wouldnt make a fireball like intended to. If it is less than 1/4 inch, i would actually prefer flash powder, becuase after the garbage can ruptured, black powder might not have enough power to vaporize the gas, and flash powder probably would. Commercial black powder can do this, but homemade black powder might not, so why risk 75 dollars of black powder and 30 gallong of gas. Also, i think the gas would eat through the bag.

Re: Fireball pics (mini)
EP, what did you use for you biggasmine? If he used black powder, there would be no use of using black powder, becuase the weight of the gas is used a end plug. When his exploded, it exploded into a couple of peices, so if he did use bp, there would be no reason going out of your way to get black powder.
(also drools) ahh shit!!! That second fireball was fuckin huge. So was that flour one. That flour one use a tube only 1 or 2 times the size of a folgers can, so it would be easy to make. I think that they use gasoline in the second one because of the dark smoke and fire.

Re: Fireball pics (mini)
The larger of my two gas mine pics used whistle mix and match heads (I was just using up whatever I had left at the time and I didnt have any BP).
I've been told by a pro that the those big gas fireballs often use a 50/50 mix of regular car gas and diesel fuel to get that nice dark stuff.

Re: Fireball pics (mini)
i havent tried the 50/50, but the times i did make the fireballs was the gas from the weedeater(not me, the grass cutter), so there was a little oil mixed in. I like the pure gas better, becuase i like it a lot better when my whole neighborhood lights up.
