I seem to recall hearing once that you can make a light sensitive explosive using silver nitrate and ammonia and allowing it to dry in a dark place, however, I'm not sure at all. Has anyone had any sort of experience with this?

Sorry to go off topic, but on a much safer scale I do the same type of thing. Fold a catsup packet in half and put it under the knobs on under the seat. When they sit down splat!

����Nitrogen tri-iodine on a toilet seat is obviously a rather dangerous prank as far as the mark is concerned. That stuff is not good for you.
����HTMD is senstive to UV light, especially that from sunlight. If you leave it in the sun it will at length explode, but I don't think it's as light senstive as you like.

this may not be what you are asking but AP is light sensitive. A desk lamp can set it off.

you dont spread the ni3 thick, i heard that a coat as thick as the paint on a car would work pretty good.

Yeah, my dad told me about puting NI3 onto toilet seats, he says it only stung, and left you with a big brown stain on your ass (someone returned the favour!!), if your into getting folk on toilets, at a piss up put clingfilm over the toilet, drunk person goes through to piss/crap/puke and it bounces back, nasty! although not really an explosive... at all

Wait, isn't NI3 purple colored? If it is, I don't know how many people would actually sit on a toilet seat that's stained purple.

its more of a brown/purple( i never made it, i just seen pictures) but the smoke is a dark purple.

I have confirmed it... It's silver nitrate and ammonia. Leave it to dry in a dark place... don't expose it to light if you value your fingers.

Interesting thought: Sensitive stuff drawer... keep things you don't want other people to see in this drawer with said mixture. Remove the stuff in the dark.

If you make AP properly then it shouldn't be too sensitive. Well it didn't go off when i shot it with a .177 cal pellet rifle. But yes HMTD is sensitive to the sun and can go off from the light. And my school used to have silver nitrate. Try yours.
