Uknown explosive
My friends brother had a drawfull of this strange flamable stuff he called "bad news" it burns brightly with a large flame and burns underwater. He said it was made out of "wax and suger in the right proportions" with n oxidisor. Any1 know if this is true or if it isnt wat it realy is.

Re: Uknown explosive
it was probably waterproof matches. actually, i have no idea what it was. it could be black powder coated in wax, or it could just be magnesium.

Re: Uknown explosive
Probably sugar and potassium permanganate(?) mixed and poured into melted wax. Sounds to me like it should burn underwater if you don't use too much wax. Sugar and potassium permanganate, I've heard, are a good load of fun on their own.

Re: Uknown explosive
Just wax and sugar won't burn very well. It certainly won't burn underwater. There has to be some kind of oxidizer in the stuff for it to do that.

Re: Uknown explosive
Is it powder? Chunks? Blocks? If it's powder, I have no idea. If it's chunks or blocks, it could be just about anything, coated in something like nitrocellulose, maybe with a weight in it.
