Default United Nuclear

I was talking with bob today and he says that he is gonna stop selling chemicals and just sell equipment...
Here is a e-mail from yesterday

Boris the "Homeland Security Bill" was recently passed and just signed by President Bush.
The bill now allows the Government to track and catalog all purchases by U.S. citizens.
No one who is into fireworks as a hobby wants their name on any list or wants the
Feds to know what they're buying, etc. If we sell any over 8 ounces of any chemical at
one time, we have to forward all your information to the Feds... something we'll NEVER do.
We were informed, in person of this, by the BATF.
So, as long as we limit the amount you purchase each time to 8 ounces or less, we can
continue to keep no records, no customer lists and delete all e-mail every day.
The $ increases are for hazmat fees distributed evenly over all the chemicals.
Our "awesome profits" are now so low on chemicals we will be dropping them all in the future altogether and just supplying scientific equipment.

and here is one from today....

From: "United Nuclear" <unitednuclear@direcway.com>
To: "Boris Bogdanowicz" <kgbagent0072002@yahoo.com>
Subject: Re: Anti-Terrorism Laws My Cock...

Boris Bogdanowicz wrote:Wait your saying that no one is buying chemicals anymore?

-------------------------------

I'm saying no one is buying chemicals.... would you buy any at these prices?
We'll probably wind up selling even smaller quantities in the form of chemistry "kits" or something similar, but we've got no intentions of being a volume pyrotechnic supplier.
We're going to continue to sell tubes & fuse as well as general scientific supplies as well as offer "how-to" pages on the site for free, but all in all, it kicked the shit out of us.
I don't know what's going on with other chemical dealers, I just know what the guys with the guns & badges said to us.... they made it quite clear.
I'm sure for the time being, there are several places out there you can still get stuff for cheap... and in quantity.

I never really ordered that many chemicals from there just Potassium chlorate, iron oxide, and zinc because they were cheaper there than pyrotek...But I did order a bunch of tubes and and rocket tubes and other things there....

Yeah, I just got a similar email today. It sucks...

Looks like Pyrotek is now the best option for most of us, but you'll probably end up on the feds list with a big red flag in the TIA database.

Can you pay at Pyrotek with a money order? They don't really have much in the way of ordering info on the site...

No matter how you slice it, this whole "homeland security" bit is completely wrong. The only viable effect of the bill is to harass and infringe upon the rights of american citizens. It will do nothing to stop the supposed "terrorists", will cost billions of your tax dollars, and will make key portions of life a giant hassle for all of us. Buying chemicals, for example. Or guns. Even buying chemicals that aren't used in pyrotechnics or drug making will probably get you red-flagged in whatever database the feds are running. According to the literature about it that I've read, a change in your spending habbits or an uncharacteristic withdrawal or purchase (even of a legitimate item, like a car or a new TV) could get you pegged for an investigation.
The whole thing just makes me angry.

Im feeling really stupid now. Ive read all kinds of things on United Nuclear and it is a really helpfull website and easy to use but they cant ship to canada.. yet. But i read everything on the pyrotek site and i dont know maybe i got the wrong site but it doesnt say anything about chemicals or how to order them. All it talks about is metal working which i guess may use some chemicals but still doesnt help me. What is the exact website where you can order things from pyrotek and where (assuming i am looking at the right site already) can i place my ordering information?

What the hell is wrong with our governmment. I mean seriously, how many terrorists would actually go to all the trouble of ordering all the necessary (Not to mention quite expensive and hard to get) chemicals from a website when they could just go down to their local hardware store and buy some chemical fertilizer for dirt cheap which would make a much much larger explosion. I don't think people just trying to put on a good show for their friends and family should be punished for the governments inability to catch the real terrorits who wanna hurt people who are out there. I mean, I admit that there are some fricken morons out there who think it's cool to use flash powder-based pyrotechnics as tools for vandalism, but seriously, to get a license to make the stuff legally you have to have thousands of dollars, know the right people, and spend years in training (which is important). By the way, if you don't mind providing ID you can get shitloads of good chemicals for dirt cheap at www.skylighter.com or www.firefoc-fx.com. I also found a guy in American Fireworks News who sells dark aluminum for 15 bucks a lb including shipping. His e-mail is viscomann@aol.com
