Yeah, but the color will not be as clear. If you want to, you can order magnesium powder from united nuclear, but it will not get to you for about 5 days.

If you use magnesium, and a good chlorine donor, at least 50 percent or more, than it will be red. If you want a yellow, use sodium nitrate, and if you want blue, use copper nitrate. White, you can just use potassium nitrate.

KNO3 is an oxidizer, so it doesnt burn but I know what you mean. Strontium nitrate gives off a red color, so if you use strontium nitrate and copper nitrate and magnesium in the same flash powder, you could probably get a purple.

the mixes iv used with kno3 burn purple. mainly with sugar. And al dust in ur lungs also causes alzheimers

KNO3 mixtures with no other coloring agents tend to burn with a bit of a pink or purple hue. It's not spectacular, but it's noticeable.

Yeah, smoke mix(kno3, sugar) burns with a pink/red color.

KNO3 will impart a purple color if it is in a quite pure form. The more impurities, the less purple it will be.
Just FYI:
Copper salts burn blue
Strontium salts burn red
Barium salts burn green... there are more but I'm very tired at the moment.
